Pope didnt get a pass. Big deal. Pope very much criticized the officials while attempting to do so in a clever way. I wish he would just directly criticize, look straight at the camera and give his honest thoughts instead of trying to be cute. I am tired of his, I am so clever, act. He is not. He is a goofball.

He should coach his team up to not lose games like this that we had no business losing. There were a million reasons we lost this game that proceeded a questionable call

blaming refs is for losers
There is no need to give officials a reason to call a foul there ... it is simple ... don't push off ... just MOOOOOOVE to get separation !!!! If the game was at Rupp and situation was reversed with no call ... the fans would've gone nuts !!!!

Coaches have to come out after every game, win or lose, and deal with questions from the media. Meanwhile, the officials walk away without answering to anyone. It really is a strange setup.

There should be somebody running analytics on the officials, if there's not already. At a minimum.

And that's not about blaming the refs. It's about having some kind of accountability in place, so they know if they get up to some shenanigans there's a good chance it will be exposed.

Most honest thing I've read here in quite a while.

We still ref blaming?

Have to. If not, we'd have to point the finger at ourselves. That's not allowed.

Why can't both be true? As many have said, there were many reasons for the loss, but it is ALSO true that a bad call at a critical point late in the game can directly change the outcome.

Even in this instance, Chandler may have pushed off, but the Auburn defender is also HOLDING him. Fine, it you want to be a real stickler to the rules, call a double foul, UK retains possession. That may at least get the defender to play real defense instead of the rugby crap most SEC teams play.

What gets me with this sort of fine is how the NCAA does this while some can say the craziest things these days as politicians, news reporters, even to the point where they are calling for riots, criminal acts and such and claim they can do so because of the 1st Amendment.

I get all that, but how can someone speaking to answer a question to how they feel or state a fact can be fined while not respecting his rights?

I wish UK would tell the NCAA to kiss *** and hire an attorney just to prolong all this to prove a point. Bring all the bad calls out in light and let the officials explain.

Road games are hard to win. To get one ripped away from you this way is wrong. How does a referee stand 6 feet away and watch Auburn knock Chandler into the front row and call nothing? The point is, whether we played good or not, we had the game and they took it all because the SEC wanted to get Auburn into the tournament, possibly.

Meh, small potatoes for Pope’s accountant to muster up… The REAL fine comes the rest of his coaching career in the SEC, for calling those clowns “MFers” in a passive aggressive fashion!

You think the officials didn’t like Calipari? Haha, you haven’t seen anything yet🤣😂🤣
