I see rain in the forecast for this weekend. I was planning to take in at least 1 if not both matches. Does anyone know if they'll move it to indoors if rain?

Probably depends on the day/travel schedule but if there is no hope to play outdoors they will definitely start on time indoors. There are rain delays if they think they can play outside within a reasonable time frame, too early to say if that's the plan.

But, I'm sure BC has a 6/7/8PM flight home Sunday, that probably makes that match more likely to just go ahead indoors on time if the courts are wet

I thought I initially saw Zampardo in the lineup and then it changed once match started. Was hoping she would be good to go today.

Zampardo was on the live stats but the names going up the court indicate she is not playing.

Tatum flipping with Oby at 2/3.

Some close first sets but everyone pulled out the 1st set. Oby, Reese, then Tatum won to clinch. Looked at Thea had just won too as match was called. I don't think Syracuse's 6 was probably very good but I was impressed with how Mary Grace handled herself. Great body language and energy and taking advantage of her moment.

One thing that really stood out to me today was the energy and body language of teammates not playing. They seem to genuinely really like each other and pull hard for each other. Tatum would hand slap several of her teammates during change overs, Boyce did the same as she sat on MG's court. As a whole they also do a great job of yelling out Heels or encouragement to specific teammates. This might seem slight but as a former coach at D2 and D1 this creates great energy, momentum, and a collective confidence. It was great to see in person today.

One last thought- how many teams could weather not having one their best doubles players/top 6 singles play available, another top doubles and singles play injured and their top Fr sensation (singles and doubles) not available and still win convincingly?

Heels roll through doubles, win all 6 set 1's in singles.

#2 Evans and #3 kajuru both trying to consolidate their second break up in set 2 at 3-0, serving.

Wow- we have some doubles duos! Coach will have a difficult time deciding once Hamilton gets back (anyone know her timetable)?
Singles lineup will be challenging to decide as well.
What are your thoughts?

Also, without Alanis will give the other players a chance to play to help build up their confidence and help with their timing and rhythm moving forward. This team will only get better and stronger and when Alanis does return they will have so much more depth which will be a good problem to have. Go Heels!

If Alanis is not quite ready to play then this team does have enough depth for her to sit out and heal up completely. I am glad that Zampardo and Frey are here now. Go Heels!

And we can't forget Hill did an admirable job at 6 in her 1st season last year on a team that plays in championship without Reeses injury.

Ed O’Bannon’s court case paved the way for NIL in college.

Reece Brantmeier‘s court case freed up pro tournament prize money.

this should allow top tennis, golf, swimming and track athletes more freedom to stay in college even if they happen to hit it big in one our two tournaments. Perhaps special events like the TST for women’s soccer where Dellarose could not keep her earnings.

there have been other court cases about pro stints in development leagues and overseas pro leagues that have affected eligibility in sports like basketball and soccer.

This is separate than that; this is specifically for prize money given directly by tournaments.

If we are going to pay large amounts to players in NIL and revenue share before they ever do anything at their universities then this is a no brainer to me. They actually went out and earned it.

Did anyone watch the match and did Reese look healthy? Glad we got the win but a yikes result on #1

Reese out for singles and doubles today cs UNCG. I know its a good day to give her off and let someone else play but Ive been worried that something happened during SMU match. Anyone with insight?

On a good note, Hamilton returned to doubles action today.
