I watched about 45 seconds of the Olympics and that was the 45 seconds just now! That was fun…. Beating Canada feels good… Twice
That was quite the game. Wouldn't have gone into overtime maybe if we have given up the goal right before the end of period 2. Man canada had us 2 to 1 in shots on goal for most of the game. Goalie was fabulous. I believe we were 100% in defeating power plays at the Olympics. USA

I just saw the entire quote and while it failed to give great kudos, this snippet is definitely misleading. I was disappointed in seeing this myself because I follow the Avs and I know he is an intense competitor but he is also fair most of the time. These rage bait selective quotes for headlines are so typical these days. He obviously had trouble putting his thoughts into words after being disappointed but the disingenuous nature of that quote is lame.
He basically said the two teams are as close in talent as ever... others can decide who was the better team. USA won, we didn't.... in essence

The only way you'd say that is if you thought the team that won wasnt the better team. Its the football equivalent of outgaining your opponent. As we've seen season after season, that's worth nothing. Only the final score matters.
