Maisy Miller with 12 points, all 3-point goals, and Emma Randall added nine for the Knights, who head to Broadway on Monday

LCA with a furious 4th Q rally - outscore TA 10-2 late - and score a layup at the buzzer for 59-57 win.

LCA played with a lot of poise in the late minutes.

49-36 final Western Albemarle girls beat East Rockingham in the Region 3C quarterfinals.

Emma Schmitz with 22 and Maggie Camblos with 19 while Laveah Strickler pulled down 12 rebounds.

Warriors now one win away from a state tournament berth.

Region 3C Girls Basketball Quarterfinals: FINAL - (1) Spotswood 69, (8) Heritage (Lyn.) 28.

Georgia Jones with 10 points, while Paige Green, Macey Myers, Addy Weldon and Piper Lohr all had nine apiece.

Blazers play the winner of Turner Ashby/Broadway on Wednesday night at 7:00pm.

Girls region is LOADED with 6 of top 10 teams in the state in this region.

Rocktown 71, Alleghany 47

Congrats to the Raptors.

Still a very good season for AHS. They finish 17-6. Last 3 years the Cougs have gone 51-21 Thanks to seniors Des Jordan, Brady May, Tucker Phillips, and Kevin Worley

Region C with 5 of the top 10 teams in the state (compared to 6 for the girls)

Final:

Western Albemarle finally beats a determined East Rock team (which led at the half) 57-42 final.

23 points for Camden Clem in his final career game tonight, with five 3-pointers, to lead the Eagles.

The Warriors are a win away from a state tournament berth. They’ll host the Region 3C semifinals later this week.
