Just came in from 3+ hours of cleaning up 7" in Piscataway down the road from the stadium. It is wet, heavy, and sticky. The blower clogged repeatedly to the point I said screw it and ended up shoveling it all.

We are in a dry slot in Wall. Cleared driveway an hour ago, and there is only a light coating on the driveway now.
As of 10 pm, we were up to 7.5" in Metuchen, so 1.0" the last hour with moderate to heavy snowfall and it's still 30F; Just did my second shoveling and it was pouring snow during that time and 20 minutes later we had 3/4", which is over 2" per hour if it's sustained. Also, the last few inches of snow will pack somewhat, but it's much drier now - could make a snowball, but not a snowman - should've done that earlier, lol.
Did a little shoveling and my guess is we have around 8-9 inches or so in Freehold. Maybe more. Hard to tell.

Yes about half of the global models are showing a 2-4/3-6" kind of event, but mostly N of 276/195; too far out to worry about yet.
Doesn't seem like that much on pavement or the road. Plow just went by, 3-4 inches of snow at most.

As of 11 pm, we have 9.0" in Metuchen, so 1.5" the last hour with heavy snowfall and it's still 30F. Latest map from Lee Goldberg shows increased amounts from 95 SE-ward and he thinks NYC will hit 20". Amazing to see NYC basically shut down with snow covered streets.
Just north of you in Cranford. Did my first pass just now and eyeball seemed like 8-9 inches.
Heavy stuff too. Hoping the ratio increases overnight or tomorrow is gonna be a hassle. Gonna be a lot of downed wires.

If you did it all at once it would've had the bottom 3-4" being pretty heavy. It's been much lighter the past few hours, so my 2nd 4" shovel was fairly easy.
Down in Camden County (Audubon) I’ve shoveled twice (about 3 inches each time) and already another 3-4 inches down with heavy stuff the past couple hours.

As of midnight, we have 10.0" in Metuchen, so "only" 1.0" the last hour as we had heavy snow the first 15-20 minutes of the hour, but it has let up some since. While we haven't had the very high rates of 2"+ per hour some have seen, we also haven't seen less than 1" per hour since about 5 pm with a few 1.5" per hour rates. It's still 30F. 18" seems like a lock and 20" seems very attainable; would need to get some high end bands to get to 24" though, I think. It's frikkin amazing out there!

I rarely make snowfall calls and when I do it is based on a well informed intuition. This one has felt big for Eastern Middlesex County. And it seems to be delivering.
Did my 3rd pass just now. Wound up using a good broom on the deck. It’s just extremely wet and the wind is whipping.
You can see how wet the snow is and to me, seems the type that will melt efficiently I hope.
Monday night get's cold though.
It's going to be boulders on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The last several inches here have become powdery/drier and yes, this snow will melt way more efficiently than the sleetcrete we had on 1/25, plus the warmer temps and late Feb sun will really help. I could see this being gone in 7-10 days, unless we get some more snow late in the week (possible).
As of 1:00 am, we have 10.8" in Metuchen, so 0.8" the last hour as we had mostly moderate snow the past hour, but it started picking up just before 1 am. It's still 30F, but the winds have really picked up in the past hour and we now have some decent drifting - areas with 15" and some with 6-7", so measuring is getting harder.
As of 3:00 am, we have 12.5" in Metuchen, so 1.7" the last 2 hours and that 12.5" is a guess. the area my board was in has drifted over, so I can't use that. In the past when this happens I try to take a bunch of measurements and average them, away from obvious drifts and scoured out areas, but it's tough. In the morning before the snow is over I'll take a ride (or walk, it's close) over to a local field and check there. Down to 29F. Also did my 3rd shovel of the storm - I do that every time we get to about 4" as that's a good number for me to shovel without crazy effort.
This snow report map was as of midnight. Since then I've seen reports of 16" in Freehold, 13" in AC, 15" in Staten Island, 11" at EWR at 1 am (so at least 13" now), with most locations along 95 and towards the coast reporting at least 10-12" through 1-2 am, with at least 8-12" more to come. And since that midnight report the death band has been over eastern Morris, much of Somerset, W Mercer, SE Bucks, then Philly and into SW NJ and DE and it's been dumping for a couple of hours. bac, and Rock must be buried or out plowing and T will claim there's no snow on the pavement.
