here is what the nam is spitting out the rest of the storm ontop of what everyone had before 7pm so from 7 in my area up to 17 at the coast

there will be winners and losers with this storm

Looks like Upper Somerset County is too close to the 7-17" line!

NWS has me at 19.5”. I’d estimate I got about 2.5” out there now. No way I come close to what they are saying IMO. At this point I’d be surprised if we got 10”

yeah we shall see, its all about those bands pivoting back but that seems to not be that far west as you and I.....there certainly are parts of middlesex and monmouth already at 6-8 where I have half of that. I think the places that are doing well now continue to do well but the question mark is everyone and else and its going to be tough for Philly to get 16

Crashed for a couple of hours (was helping a friend renovating a house this morning and early afternoon), just got up. Looks like we have in excess of 4 inches down so far. Will go out and measure a little later.

As of 8 pm, 5.25" in Metuchen and it's still 31F; snowing close to heavily but radar is showing a couple of SW to NE oriented bands moving NW towards us, which look really heavy, like maybe 2" per hour heavy.
As of 9 pm, 6.5" in Metuchen, so 1.25" the last hour and it's down to 30F; snowing close to heavily but radar showed that really heavy looking band to my SE kind of fizzling to "normal" heavy snow. Just shoveled the end of the driveway, since the plows just went by and I hate letting that slushy mess freeze.

Transformer blowing all over southern Monmouth county. One in front of my house blew. JCPL was on site quickly and repaired. Had power for 15 minutes and blew again.
Many without power in Brielle/Wall/Manasquan.
Yep, our department has been out on calls for downed wires. Power outage at 35 and Sea Girt Ave around 7 p.m. tonight.

Just got in from the first driveway clearing. Would say about 6-8", but hard to tell. We have a large horeshoe shaped driveway. As soon as one side was cleared and got to the other side, the first side was covered. Went well with the Mrs. cleaning up with a snow pusher. Will make another push around midnight or 1 a.m., then may go to the fire station for standby, depending on how much snow is on the roads.

Pretty sure we heard a thunderclap too about 20 minutes ago.

I’m in southern Union County, we have about 2-3 inches on the ground . It’s snowing moderately and pretty windy. I know it’s still early and would anticipate this is going to ramp up in the next few hours, but this seems like it’s not going to be anywhere near a “historic blizzard”. I remember the big storms of 1978, 1983, 1996, 2010 and 2016. Thus far this isn’t close to those storms. After all the hype, if we don’t get at least 15-18 inches of blowing heavy snow in my area, I think the NWS did a really bad job of predicting this.
Pretty sure you're going to get at least 18" and maybe more. You have 12+ more hours of at least 1" per hour snow and should see at least 1.5-2" per hour for a few of those hours. And the winds haven't really started to roar yet, but it's coming.
