The moment I gave up on the Pope experiment was when he lost at Rupp to Hubert Davis.
If UNC lead by Hubert Davis passes us in all time wins I will legally never be allowed within 1000 ft of a UK coach, just saying...

I couldn't care less about the all-time wins. It doesn't affect any of us on any real level, and players don't care about it. You can play cupcakes and pad your wins, but then what does that say about your program? Cal did A LOT of that. It's the titles and Final Four appearances I care about.

Lets all relax and just go all in on what Mitch and Matt tells us.
We keep this direction one of UNC/UCONN/DOOK overtake us in titles too.

who cares about tradition? Not even the program that only has tradition to hang onto.tradition is currently the only reason we can all halfway say “this is Kentucky” yea who cares about it. Might as well lose that while we are in the midst of losing everything else.

Why is all time wins important? The only real win total is the current year wins. We can't live in the past. Good lord do you even think the Yankees, Dodgers fans care about how many wins occured in 1920. Why do we care what Rupp won in the 1930's - 1972? That was a different time and different emphasis on basketball. Very few schools other than us cared about basketball. We should be thinking how we can compete in today's world. NIL has leveled the playing field and currently we don't have the coach & players to compete in today's world. We MUST figure out how to compete NOW. I am 80 and have followed a ton of seasons and never really cared about past seasons when watching today's mess. Thinking about past great seasons just makes this year worse. Having the all time win record and $5 will buy you a cup of coffee in most cheap places. Go BBN!
At this rate Kansas and UNC will not be the only programs to pass us in wins. Absent MAJOR program changes ASAP, UK basketball will be a bottom feeder in the SEC and National scene, maybe forever.
One title in the last 28 years, and one FF in the last 11. We are an irrelevant program with no hope in sight. Please give me one reason for optimism
Not really. Im a UNC fan and Hubert is mediocre at best. Many fans want him gone. Kansas has also had I believe several double digit loss seasons as of late and if you go to their board many are thinking Self's best days are behind him not to mention his health related issues over the last few years.
