When you aren’t punishing a pitcher’s fastball, you’re in trouble. That’s really your entire philosophy as a hitter…get a fastball to hit. That AB by Gavin was very discouraging because he got one after the other and was late on each one and didn’t barrel any of them.

I just don’t understand this. We chased their All American pitcher off the mound by the fifth inning on Friday, we’re struggling against their Sunday guy? Xavier made him look like a fool last weekend. Come on boys, get it done.

Hull wanted a line drive to left fouled off a few over there, instead hits a sac fly to the left fielder, scoring Paulsen and tying up the game
That’s certainly what it seems like! I absolutely believe we can win this game, but it’s definitely frustrating!

Not that it matters now but why didn’t Macon tag and go to second on that throw home?
This is a big inning here with ECU having their best hitters up, as we start to approach “official game” territory. Nothing would be more annoying than losing like 2-1 in 6 innings.
That was a June AB by Hull. Really good job of getting a run across.
This is why I’m not freaking out about the offense yet. My two biggest concerns right now are:
1) I fear we aren’t going to run nearly as much as we did last year. The stolen base has been a big part of our offense during Forbes’ tenure, but I’m just not seeing it this year. And that is a big deal.
2) McDuffie. It’s early. But there have definitely been some concerns in his three appearances so far. But again…it’s early.
It’s annoying when a 10u travel ball player acts like he’s Juan Soto. It’s just sad and pathetic when a college player thinks it’s “cool” to do it.
Who gave their tickets to 4 ECU fans behind home plate?!?
This feels a lot like the last series we had against a real team. Super frustrating after a dominant Friday.
