GTFO of this thread with that garbage.are the Olympics including biological men playing women's sports?
There's nothing better in sports than playoff hockey and I hope it continues to grow. The Winter Olympics and the success the men and women have had will hopefully help. It still has a long way to go though.
2025 Stanley Cup Finals - 2.5 million viewers on avg.
2026 Winter Classic - 2.1 million viewers (big jump from 2025)
2025 NBA Finals - 10.27 million viewers on avg. (low number compared to recent years)
2026 NBA All-Star Game - 8.8 million viewers (across networks and streaming and it's highest viewership since 2011)
Not an NBA fan until the playoffs but the all star game was watchable since they actuallly tried and played 4 mini-games.How in the world can the NBA all star game have thay many viewers and the most in almost 15 years?
It's become so pointless to watch. At least in the past era you had some fun celebrity games and dunk contest that still had some relevance.
I think the NBA is in serious trouble. If for nothing else, its a sport thats too driven by the individual and not the team, and therefore the players have the power. I guess it still pulls ratings and and is growing internationally but I have no idea how or why. I dont even feel compelled to watch either of my teams during the regular season, sans for a few key games.

Yeah, but the one thing the nba has that college doesnt is, for the most part, referees let players win or lose games...bc the league knows thats what ppl want to see.But whats odd about that is.. while true.. no one knew that was going to happen. How many people were like "oh did you hear they NBA All star game the players are trying? Quick let's turn on the 2nd half to see!"
Im not denying the numbers, I just don't get it. And I dont know a single person who is tuning into the regular season aside from some Knicks fans because they are trying to compete this year after being irrelevant for most of the last 30 season.
It was one thing when the players became friendly, no defense, and the high volume 3s... that era starting in the 2010s wasnt great, but it was bad either. But now, you have all those issues PLUS the tanking, load management, etc. The NBA is a downright awful product right now. I used to defend it to death but I just cant anymore.
