If you don’t beat teams in the regular season then there is no tournament.
also by your logic Kentucky is just as likely to make the FF as anyone. So let go!!!!
Not true. We are guaranteed a conference tournament that guarantees the winner a seed. You can lose every damn regular season game, win the tournament and still go. And we don’t hang banners or get trophies for simply making the tournament.

It really is surprising how quick some of you are to dismiss Cal and Rick's chances. Last year Arkansas was dead and buried. Different team in March. St. John's might have made the Final Four if they hadn't run into Arkansas.

What's sad is how ugly the Pope comments will get if one or both get to the final four. smh
St johns was overrated last season.
And Arkansas got a bit of fortunate to be drawn with a not so great KU team.
I know it’s popular to hate Cal, but he went to the Sweet 16 last year, just like Pope while playing tougher teams. We got an incredible draw to the Sweet 16 last year, one of the easiest in recent memories while Cal had to play Self and Pitino.
And before choking the Sweet 16 game away, Arkansas was blowing out Texas Tech. He had every opportunity to get to the Elite 8 while Pope was destroyed by a team we already beat twice.
Some people genuinely seem they’re willing to drive the program into the ground because of their hate for Cal. They see Pope as the polar opposite and that he’s somehow the savior while dragging us even deeper into mediocrity than Cal did his last few years.
Cal ain't winning another title, he cant out talent everyone now & we all know he sucks green donkey balls with X's & O's. When it comes crunch time in the big games, smart coaches will actually draw stuff up to beat his teams, he's a sucker for the middle ball screen, doesn't know how to defend that, Pearl burnt him over & over with it many times, he even said so at halftime several years ago, "they can't stop the middle ball screen so we kept running it". Coaches know that Cal doesn't make adjustments so when they stop his prehistoric offense, he has no answers & his team loses.
If you legit believe those are final four teams then I question you ability to judge what I final four team looks like...there are many teams way better than those 2. I may end up eating crow on this one but I'll take that chance and say neither will make the final 4....doubtful they make it past the sweet 16
I feel like Duke, Michigan, Arizona, and Florida have separated themselves from the pack. Jmo.
