To be fair. That was a pretty widely held view of him from HS even from some evaluators.
Nevertheless, I am glad Arkansas lost. Hate for Cal to have better success than we are experiencing. However, in watching the game how in the world did we beat them on their home court? It tells me this team when motivated could be doing a lot better. Losing to Georgia a team that won't sniff the NCAA tourney was ridiculous.

We were +9 on the boards, Trent Noah had his best game of the season and they shot like 20 percent from 3. The odds of something similar happening in a rematch seem remote. I'd rather not play them again in the SEC tourney.

Crazy game. Ark had 4 of 9 players foul out. They finished the game with two centers, a power forward, and two guards. Acuff scored 49 and they lost. Ewin missed a tip in at the buzzer of 1OT to win, and then missed a putback dunk at the buzzer of 2OT to tie.
Another thing…Pope needs to go back and look at the box score of his last game in a UK uniform. Delk—37 minutes. Epps—35 minutes. Sheppard 7 minutes, Edwards only 3. Pitino played 7 guys 95% of the minutes. You can’t play 9 guys unless you have the Dream Team.
He lost me with his analytics garbage. My analytics tells me he can’t recruit for ****, gameplan or teach defense.
We beat them because, believe it or not Cal isn’t any better at coaching than Pope . He is tons better at assembling talent. But can’t coach well enough to do anything with it . They have more nba type talent than anyone sans Duke and will have double digit losses again.
