Iowa will be in the tourney. Those who will try to minimize that accomplishment for this team are either dimwitted meatheads or simpleminded morons.
Does Nebraska even count as a quality win. They are a historically bad team and their star player was a bench player at Iowa.

I know all fan bases tend to overreact to a win or loss, but Iowa fans seem to take it to the extreme. One bad loss, and it’s time to end the season before President’s Day.

Barring losing all the remaining games, Iowa is in. Even then they may still make a play in game due to metrics.

As of tonight, 2/18, it looks like our NET ranking is 26. That is a historically good ranking for getting into the NCAA tournament. Given that we are late in the season I doubt it will change dramatically before tourney time. According to AI, teams in the 60s for NET ranking are on the bubble. (Not sure how much stock to put in that but you get the point.)
That said, we could face plant and lose the rest of the games (which I doubt), but I think we will get in. The question is what seed???

Yes, all fans do it. I used to check Purdue’s board once in a while. My God… every time they lose a game, some fans want the coach fired. I feel like Iowa fans on this board complain more about officiating than any other Iowa board I’ve been on. I feel the complaints mostly come from people who don’t understand basketball (per their other posts).

If I ever start a thread with a bold, smug, unambiguous, in-your-face inflammatory declaration that explicitly and confidently predicts the early failure/demise of an Iowa team -AND- that purposefully intentional public prediction fails spectacularly, I would absolutely expect to be called out, even derided…. and would disappointed if it did not happen.
