Geez, even as a former assistant hs coach I know to play YOUR BEST PLAYERS majority of the minutes…….theyre young and and should be in shape, plus you have time outs plus TV ones to steal “rest”. This is not a learn on the job place.

Pope is reading too much into analytics. All coach’s do who don’t trust themselves. They let math coach, and like allowing CHATGPT to do your homework, you’re going to be wrong a lot.
There’s always a filler in between the great coaches. He followed a hall of famer and failed. The next one should be great according to history.

He played Jasper too much because he gets heat from his family. The threat looms over his head that he is going to leave because of his playing time.
This team only has 1 chance. It's not great. Play Oweh, Aberdeen, Chandler, Dioubate, and Moreno. 32+ with maybe exception of Moreno.
Those other 4 are virtually dead weight.
Of those 4, Jelavic and Johnson are the most playable(barely). Their only role is to come in around TV timeouts and provide respite for 2 of the 5 starters. If you hit foul trouble youre goona have to play small ball. BG is a 3rd year player with no discernible ******* court awareness. He rarely knows where the ball is even at. Time to move on.

Also don’t know for sure, but aberdeens shoulder got banged up Perry good in that first half. Maybe that’s why he changed it up so much?

I seriously don't see all that much in Johnson. He isn't a great ballhandler, always is just looking to get a shot up no matter how he's covered (and not looking for teammates open) and plays absolutely horrible defense. What does he really bring to want to play him more minutes. Some on here think he should play more but I just don't see it.
