Last year we started 0-13 in SEC play, only to ruin it by going 2-3 in the last 5.

This year we started a somewhat hopeful 2-4 in conference play, but have skid to 6 losses in a row. We can't equal last year's losing streak of 13 games, but 0-12 in our final 12 games would be fairly impressive.

Those two wins were over the two other worst teams in the conference so it wasn't particularly hopeful lol. The MBB program is in shambles.

Paris can coach. He won 26 games years ago. Just ask Ray. In his mind, it's still a great hire.

While some may doubt the determination, steadfastnes and fortitude of this coaching staff to realize such a dream. I for one do not doubt the resolute will of this staff or that of our Leader to accomplish it.

Paris is not that good of a coach, his track record at his previous job is very similar to what he is doing now. Hopefully we can lose out the remember of the season to make it much more difficult to retain him.

It would be a type of perfection

He's not going anywhere unless someone here wants to pony up for his buyout.

The money isn't there to make a move. Even if it was, who would you get? We can't pay for a football team and everything else.

I have posted about this. Is it in our best interest to just let basketball be and go all-in on football? We obviously can't go all-in on both. Other option is to be semi-committed to both.

No, it is not in our best interest to just give up on men's basketball, now that we have a really good AD, there is no reason we can't hire a good basketball coach. I cannot see any reason to retain the current coach, buyout or not.

Without salary caps you are probably right. Other schools can just outspend us in NIL. We went from about 2 million a year ago to about 4 million for this year for men's basketball. Still ain't enough as there are schools with 1 player getting that much.

Hiring a coach is one thing.

Now you have to pay to build your roster.

I originally thought he was talking about the football team. The answer is possibly and possibly.

I can foresee a win against UGA on the road next Saturday to give a glimmer of hope that saves Paris' job.
