Saw Hobie's post on Facebook and now this.

Would you prefer they get treated like ****? These aren’t LSU fans that we see every year. This is a team that likely will never come back to Starkville and their fans likely won’t either. So what’s wrong with them being welcomed and showed a good time.

Is there actually anything you like about Mississippi state and its fans/alumni? Not sure I’ve ever seen you say one positive thing about either.

Why do you care?
Bo Bounds re-tweeted it. I just know its always a topic of discussion around here. I have no opinion on it.

I do know that its tough for a regular, non-connected fan to get a ticket to a big SEC weekend series. I was unable to go Saturday because of a family event and gave them to a friend who has never been to the new stadium but goes to Omaha every time we make it.

Everybody could be a bag of dicks at games to the opposing fans. What would that accomplish?

You pick the strangest things to get upset about.
Not upset. Just posting information.

Thank you for the work you do feeding my family. I'm sorry that I upset you.

Nobody is going to complain about it if we are winning. It has its endearing qualities.

Where it becomes cringey is all the Texas fans in the lounge last year as their team is sweeping us. Or us making a point to feed Austin Peay after they swept us in a midweek series.

There is nothing wrong with feeding the opposing fan base. That's why I always dress in opponents gear and sit and eat in LFL for free. Otherwise I'd have to get there 3 hours early in order to set my folding chair up on an incline and not be able to go to the bathroom without walking over 50 people. Otherwise I'd be paying $300 per person per seat a game.

If you look a little closer, those fans are sitting and standing on the right field berm, a place where any dedicated fan loyal enough to have lined up Saturday morning before 9:00 and wait for the gates to open at 10:30 is free to sit on grass and and watch a game. This wasn't a LFL doing anything for anybody. Find something else to complain about

I talked to many Hofstra fans at the games this weekend. They had a vet team last year and then injuries hit. They had mostly freshmen playing last year. Hofstra folks were very happy that they play competitively this series. They loved the Dude. They were so impressed with the stadium and atmosphere, and Starkville itself. They left with positive feelings about the series.
