They also lost pg Azavier "Stink" Robinson to a season ending injury in their Jan 31st game against Georgetown. Bizjack had been playing point guard when injured yesterday against UConn.

Who will play pg for Butler on Sunday?

Efeosa Oliogu-Elabor, who is somewhat turnover prone, will probably start as pg on Sunday. In any case for Butler, it will be point guard by comittee on Sunday, I think. We should pressure the ball a lot.

On a serious note, that’s unfortunate for Butler.

Completely kidding, maybe they should go the Alabama/Bediako route and find a failing G league player that can find a judge to file a TRO for immediate eligibility.

The Hall have really played well on the road this season for the most part. I guess Nova and DePaul were not up to par performances. Creighton losing at Depaul last night was important to SHU possibly finishing in 4th. The Hall need every single win to get back onto The Bubble. They really have to be victorious in this game with or without Bizjack being in uniform. Should the team even go 3-3 the rest of the way that would almost guarantee the 4/5 game at MSG. Catching Villanova is unrealistic at this point. However, the goal has to be 5-1 for the rest of conference play. That would also mean at least one Quad 1 win. Can they, and will they??

Last time they used Ajayi to break the press and it was very effective. I expect they’ll do that again. But yea, without Bizjack they are really short on options.

Nice reference. Haven’t heard that name in awhile
Was gonna say Shelvin Mack who still has a year of eligibility, but not sure if he can still run from one end of a gym to the other lol, seems he retired around 2021 and is an analyst now.

Both guys killed us in Newark. Each had two of their best games of the season.

**Robinson had 14 points and 5 assists. 5/6 from the floor and 0 turnovers. Basically pitched a perfecto.

**Bizjack was 7/11 with 25 points. 4/7 from 3. Nuts.

**Butler also shot a ridiculous 33/41 from the FT line that day. They’re barely over 70% and 246th in the country as a team. Of course!

Injuries suck. We’ve been through it many times. Remember Holloway’s first season when Richmond went down and it sunk us?

If they’re this banged up, you gotta go in there and get a metrics-boost game. Decisive. No excuses.

We had no edge that game and looking back probably were caught looking ahead to St John's 3 days later. We need to be 100% focused down the stretch here.

Would be nice to have two games in a row for a team being short their near or one of their best players.

Bizjack's left wrist is only sprained. It's likely he'll play Sunday. He did not practice Friday but now is listed as day to day.

Will the sprain hamper him?

They have a center - Jones may be his name - kills us on 50/50 plays. Lived on the floor last game.

They get to the FT line. One of the best rates. We have one of the worst fouling rates defensively.

Butler played very well against UConn but fell short. Their bigs were very productive and led the way against the Huskies, who really shut down Bizjack.

I haven't looked at stats from our last game with them but seem to remember we were outrebounded by them.

I think our game tomorrow and it's outcome will hinge on who wins the battle in the paint. Our bigs will probably rack up some fouls, so Godswill will probably get some more meaningful minutes.

We have to stop Ajayi.

Butler is on their 3rd PG of the year - tough luck for them.

They started off strong with Jalen Jackson. He got hurt and they were reeling. Started BE 1-5, then found some stability with the freshman Robinson and won 3 straight.

Robinson was excellent with us and the next 2 games then got hurt against GTown and has been out which has coincided with their current 5-game winless streak. They played solid vs UConn led by their 2 Centers who combined for 29 points. That duo had 18 vs us the first game.

The first game was Bizjack making shots, us constantly fouling and our failure to muster any offense. We committed 29 Fouls and Butler was 33 for 41 from the FT line!!!!

Road games are very difficult to win in the BigEast. Should Bizjack play, he may give them a phycological boost along with providing some points. Either way this game is about Seton Hall's mental toughness. The first contest saw a bunch of variables that really affected the game. The crowd was flat, the students were missing in action, and the team took the floor with a lack of energy. If not the worst performance of the season, it was in the top few. In addition, it was a horribly officiated game although SHU were fouling a lot. Keeping Butler off the line could be the key. They don't have as many three point shooters as the last four teams that The Hall have played. So, the points have to come from some place. The other difference is that Clark has the offense running at quicker tempo, much different than the first contest. He needs help though and all the guys have to contribute. The frontcourt players Must score as the season comes down the stretch.

Their defense is the worst. We played a sloppy, uninspired, unfocused game against them last time on both ends.

Do that again and you can kiss those faint NCAATA hope goodbye.

Budd has to attack off the dribble on the 1-3-1. The mid range and corner 3s will be open. Aj and TJ have ro be ready in the corners. The bigs will be 1 on 1. Budd looked lost against it last time.

I really hope they focused on breaking that 1-3-1 zone in practice.
