Just had her 3rd surgery on her leg she injured & that’s not even the torn ACL she got a couple weeks ago. And she’s already had multiple surgeries & partial knee replacement from earlier injuries. She’ll have trouble walking when she’s 50. Best case.

I would do the same if I could. It’s the Olympics.
Downhill skiing is absolute insanity. Hurdling down a mountain at 80 miles an hour, and if you crash, you’re pretty much guaranteed to be seriously injured. The men and women who compete in the sport have balls of steel.
Only time I’d make it in less strokes than Tiger!Tiger did.

Valid point. On the other hand, especially as a professional athlete, you have to know when to let it go. You'd want to remain as healthy as possible for the rest of your life. Take actions to make that happen.
I don’t think long term health is ever considered by the people in that event.
