Right, and then people started making up political nonsense about CA. The policies are similar in both states, the only difference being WA has no income tax. But they do have other taxes. There is no free ride in life.

Maybe the closest is living in WA, but then shopping only in OR where there is no sales tax.
Or New Hampshire, which repealed their income tax on investment income (never was on earned income) and has virtually no sales tax.

If California were a country it would have the 5th largest economy in the WORLD.

Lots of dumb in this thread. If you’re looking for takers look at the bulk of the states in the SEC that spend ungodly amounts of money on football programs yet take take take from the pot filled by states like Cal, NJ, VA etc.

Note to Boomer: stick to recognizing defensive coverages and the best delis in Nassau county. That guy is looong in the tooth and needs to get subbed out of media in general.

No idea what he said or didn't. But I know everything I posted is true. Paradise ruined. Ca. loss. Florida's gain. Looks like they just gained yet another billionaire taxpayer. Now that they are gone, who is going to be expected to fund all of those underfunded liabilities?

Get ready America. I am telling you, your tax dollars are going to bail this state out.
I live in CA too. I'd rather my tax dollar stay put right here in CA rather than bailing out over half the country annually that just take our tax dollars.

Even his coworkers have told him on air many times that he is the most elitist out of touch person they know. They try to make it a joke but it’s the truth.
He certainly knows more about sports then Gio. A lot of his non sports takes are pretty much common sense stuff IMO. He is an elitist in life as being a NFL QB who was successful.

He's just making things up.

Your tax dollars are bailing out indicted foreign "leaders" and Honduran drug mules, bailing out steel mills and chip makers, and helping retrofit gifted jets from sultans. That and running interference for a dead monster and his island of crimes and criminals.

Nothing having to do with California, NJ, DE, or any other normal state.
I noticed the half truths and rants for the simple sake of not wanting to pay taxes. I get it, no one does. But no need to spew rage about it. No one is forcing anyone to live here. In addition, most tax initiatives are voter driven due to a California ballot law that allows anyone to propose insane things as long as they get a certain number of signatures. There are many voters that down those attempts. The current billionaire tax push is pushed by the SEIU hospital workers to make up for the shortcomings from the rollback on health subsidies. Nice that they want to do it to help the less privileged, which I understand many on this board don't care about, but the SEIU proposal is the wrong way to address this. Moderates in the state and even the Governor and many in the SF community that pushed for a more moderate mayor in that city are absolutely against it. Its the extreme left that is pushing for it.

Had to see why this thread was getting so many posts and it makes sense for this board.

Boomer doesn't know sports either by the way. He might have in yesteryear but his biased self has been in the way for a long time now.

How many of those ungodly amounts spent on SEC football programs are federal dollars? I believe it's zero. Hence they are taking nothing from a pot of money filled by Cal, NJ, Va. etc

One of his takes is men shouldn’t compete with women in sports . That seems pretty common sense to me.

Yeah. Keep thinking that. Follow the money. Plenty of university donors with ties to government money contracts (ex Welfare, food programs, road and bridges, education etc) and if you didn’t know schools like LSU, Bama, Auburn, etc are state schools.

And...what did I say? If you notice, your comment is regarding sports. And yes, he is correct on that, but it is really not a subject that everyday people really worry about.

Alabama is taking a ton of federal funds so they can subsidize whereas NJ and CA cannot

They don’t. It’s fact dependent and those have to be analyzed to determine category You don’t understand the science. Get off of Faux News and try some scientific research. Not saying person should or should not be able to complete but rather get the actual facts first.
