That’s now 6 former Wildcats being named NBA All Stars or replacements for this years game.

5 of those 6 are some of the most dynamic guards in the games.

Our last 2 rosters have fringe NBA players let alone All-Stars.

And we have no recruits…. At all for this years class or next years class.

This is a problem guys.

I know some of you will hate to admit it. Want to talk about the portal so we can get some more of the same or want to cling on to big second half comebacks against conference foes or the nostalgia of stone wash jerseys.

But once the luster is off a program you have to work twice as hard to get it back. And we’re trending in that direction.

You can blame whoever you want, but the problem needs to be fixed ASAP.

The fact that Pope does not seem pressed to fix the issue and doesn’t pound the pavement to land recruits is not lost on me.

Cal is a Senior Citizen and he gets it done.

Wake up, I don’t want to hear about you picking up your daughter from the airport. I don’t want to hear about intense chess matches. Go get some talent.

He played on the greatest UK team of all time. He knows what talent looks like and what it looks like in our jersey. Go get it.

The biggest surprise that nobody is expecting…. Tyran Stokes will be a cat. We will land the number one freshman and the number one portaler added with several more good portals.

Ik ik Kansas is leading….. watch Nike pull out all the strings to get this done. They are gonna fight for Stokes. UK is gonna give him a giant bag and all this recruiting nonsense ends this year.

Just my bold prediction. Pope will give him his paycheck if he has to.

Can we not start that thing as fans where we donate money? I’d throw 25 bucks in a thing. Get 100,000 fans to donate 25 bucks and he’s a Cat.

nah. one good coaching hire is all it takes. but we need an AD with some balls and that knows basketball. He’d have never hired Hurley from Rhode Island, Golden from San Francisco, May from Fla Atlantic even though he went to a final four.

We have to identify these guys before they blow up. You’re not prying them from another high major anymore once they’ve established themselves as stars.

Our best bet now is that some light bulb comes on for Pope and he figures a lot of things out very quickly.

Good news is I don't think Barnhart will be around much longer. Regardless of Pope's success, that'll be a breath of fresh air for the athletics programs.

How many Final Fours and championships did those 6 players combine for? Wake up. I don't want to hear you brag about NBA all-stars that accomplished jack **** for the University of Kentucky.

This kind of reductionist thinking also sets the program back.
Let’s put it this way… those 6 players lone existence positively promotes the university and program nationally and with potential talent infinitely more than the contributions of Seth_C Message Board posting man.
