No way. None of these teams will make it to state.

Keep the travel to a minimum and let the winner lose at District Finals.

We already have teams in bunny brackets not traveling to the sub-district sites due to distance when the 2 competing teams aren't far apart, but the host location is a long ways away.

The best teams will make it to state.

I think it has more to do with that sub is taking a spot from someone else more deserving that could be fighting for their state tournament birth. It steals an automatic bid into the district finals. Everyone knows they probably won't win the district final, but somebody who may be in the 8-12 range of Power Points might get cut out because of that sub.

These moves sometimes have to do with the host school having both teams practicing as well. It can make it easier if the bunny bracket game is hosted at the higher seed when it works. Class A and B do this also.
