Ha! Mr.Hollis Copeland's shoulder's would still take up half the court. If anybody is interested he is on Facebook, and will respond to you once in a while.
My ex-husband lived two doors down from him, 2nd floor S.Tower when the Towers were all Rutgers students. 2nd floor were all horny males 🏀 😜.
One of my best friends died 2 years ago, I was waiting for him to show up for lunch. Found out from his room mate he died fairly suddenly from ALS. Very well known person. Had been Chief of Police in Plainfield, retired, then became Head of police at Rutgers. Sigh. Another friend committed suicide 2 years ago. Lastly, another partying good friends 30 year daughter is dying from stage 4 breast cancer which has already spread widely.
Eddie Jordan was good friends with my friend, and his girlfriend lived downstairs. Needless to say this 17 year old was a very happy kid. Of course we "smoked" our brains out, and I didn't do to well my grades to say the least.

Saw Hollis play for Ewing h.s. in a state tournament game vs. Jon Walling and East Brunswick.
He was very athletic but very thin back then.

We'll see if the young lady replies; And I'm sorry to read the passing & health issues of her friends; but I'm thinking she may be referring to Livingston College students in the Towers (maybe). And i'm sure it was fun watching a game in the Barn (especially that iconic one).

Back then the Towers were only for Rutgers college students, the Quads were only Livingston College students. No other dorms at that point of time.

So I decided to donate the ticket stub from 3/1/1976 to Rutgers BB. Got in touch with the athletic department. They were generous in offering me tickets for Sunday's game vs Maryland.

"Rutgers men's basketball is back home following a mid-week break this week. The Scarlet Knights welcome in Maryland, hosting the Terps at 12 pm on Fox Spots 1. Dave Sims will be on the call alongside analyst Jim Spanarkel.
The game is Letterwinners Day as well as the induction of this year's Knights of Honor class. There will be a continued celebration of the 1976 Final Four team's 50th anniversary. "

Couldn't get in. So, we went bowling in the student center and listened on the radio.
