When did this board get so soft? (Serious question.)

We used to make fun of players (not threatening stuff but jabs), coaches and also each other.

Now it feels like this board is being run like state media. If you dare say something slightly off color you will be BANNED.

So was this a post-2020 woke carryover? A Rivals corporate initiative?

We have basically no fans anyways so banning them over words seems pretty silly! And that doesn’t even get into what is allowed on other boards - Rivals or not.

Hell, I’ll probably get banned for this post alone…

I believe the word you’re looking for is “suspended”. Pete Rose was “banned” from the Hall of Fame.

Maybe most folks on this board prefer (at least outside of the game thread) to have rational discussions and find that actually maligning players / coaches without historical perspective, context or information to support your statement is just not acceptable. Words matter.

You whine an awful lot for a guy that portrays himself as anything but soft. You were lucky you weren’t banned when you started posted under those different handles when you were suspended.

I say if you won’t say it to their face, you probably shouldn’t say it. Lazy, Bum, smoking weed ( that was a classic) is not something I suspect you would say to a 6’9 21 year old, but maybe you are UFC tough.

You were banned/suspending because you tried to dodge a suspension with new accounts. Agree or disagree with Cappy’s moderation, that’s always a no no.

Your posts are getting closed because they’re spammy and repetitive. You say the same annoyed thing every time. Every forum ever has a spam rule.

Nobody likes you because you’ve just become ornery and one note. You have absolutely hitting new to say, just the same angry and half-baked points every time. If you had, like, a new novel criticism of Reid or somebody at LEAST you might be worth talking to, but you don’t. It’s not even amusing the engage with you, it’s just boring, though it can be fun to watch you spin your wheels.

He’s there now. Yeah, get rid of him for good. He thinks I got him suspended first time around and of course it was him. I would love to take credit for that one and maybe I can get credit for the next time he inevitably gets suspended. It would be a badge of honor.

Dude, don’t get it. A lot of people post critical comments. There’s a reason almost everyone here blasts this clown and he’s so ignorant that his retorts turn to soft fans as his come back. Adds zero value to anything, but he does have a big dollar donor friend that means he knows about interworking in the Athletic Department. Dunce.

Part of being a moderator is ensuring that the majority of people don't get turned off by one person's endless harping on the same topic without any new or interesting perspective being brought. So no, this isn't "woke", a word that is essentially meaningless other than for someone to explain something they think is bad, and no, you clearly aren't banned despite all of your more-than-off-color comments, nor will I indulge your attempted martyrdom. Yes, you were suspended for a week for repeated infringement. You aren't special in that regard, many other posters have had brief suspensions, and they all manage to get over it without creating new accounts to get around the suspension (which is a bannable offense).

Just, like, be a normal human. Yes, the team sucks right now, we all know that! It's frustrating. There are many different ways to express that frustration beyond accusing players of detrimental activities of which you have zero knowledge.
