The brand new Hartwood High School Stallions

HHS is designed to accommodate up to 2,150 students in grades 9 through 12, spanning over 290,000 square feet. This new high school will feature cutting-edge design and construction, adhering to the latest Stafford County Public Schools education specifications and updated Facility Design Standards. Congratulations to Mr. Jermaine Johnson, who was appointed at tonight’s School Board Meeting as the new Director of Athletics and Activities at Hartwood High School.
Mr. Johnson will join the Hartwood High School administrative team bringing strong instructional leadership and operational expertise. Since joining Team Stafford in 2023, he has served as a teacher at Brooke Point High School and, most recently, as the Dean of Students at North Stafford High School. He began his career in Lynchburg City Schools as a teacher and Associate Head Football Coach.
In his current role, Mr. Johnson streamlined daily transportation by developing a comprehensive, schoolwide arrival and dismissal system. He also partnered closely with the Director of Athletics and Activities to refine game-day operations and oversee facility logistics.
Mr. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences from Liberty University and a Master of Science in Education from Old Dominion University.
