NIT Tourney 1978 - Forums

I know RU beat Indiana State on March 14, 1978 in the NIt. Is there any footage from the game? My father is big Larry Bird fan and i wanted to acquire some of the film. I can’t seem to locate anything online. Does any footage actually exist? Thanks!

Troy finished with six points, four rebounds and two assists. It irked him that one of the most widely disseminated photos of the game, by the Associated Press, was of Bird scoring a layup over him. He said he yielded just six points to Bird that night.

“They never show the picture of when I’m landing on him and he’s leaning all the way back because my elbow’s in his face,” Troy said.

Read somewhere that Kelvin Troy got drafted but played basketball in Ireland and ended staying there. Not sure if he still lives there.

It’s funny …I Remember Abdel Anderson getting more of the defensive credit than kelvin troy in that game on Larry Bird
