Former Wildcat offensive lineman Al Netter has taken the job as offensive line coach at Yale. He had been on the coaching staff at Michigan.
Hopefully this is a stepping stone for a really good guy.

Why the hell does Cushing still have a job? #BringNetterHome

Question for board mavens : does Netter have the personality and desire to be a B1G OL coach, ie getting in a player’s grill, traveling for recruiting, time away from family, etc. ?

Notably, he had just been announced as Sparty's new O-line coach. Fitz can't catch a break...

EDIT: Apparently it was as "assistant" o-line coach and offensive analyst, so it looks like maybe Fitz was just shoe-horning him in there as he transitioned out of Stanford, so maybe a win-win all around.

Some would argue that Bajakian being hired out from under him was catching a break (if even getting a second chance in the B1G in the first place itself didn't count).
I worry that much of the football world doesn't love and revere Fitz as we do. He may not have a big following as we thing he should.

Fitz will be fine. Worry about our OL and WR corps.
Fitz landed a 4 star recruit recently and introduced him to Izzo and Dan Campbell at a MSU basketball game to help clinch the deal. So he’s making the most of the situation.

Hopefully Netter lasts more than one season eith the Jets, or if they clean house after another terrible season he lands quickly. The NFL is brutal but you can make bank as an OL coach (Kromer retiring at 58 is a prime example).

We could use a speedy WR and another OL
