No wonder One Piece cards were stolen from Jersey Mikes…

I knew it was always easy to walk in there, but figured after the robbery, things would tighten up.

Not sure if they moved into the APC, but there were a bunch of athletic department administrative offices in the RAC when I was there so the doors were open during operating hours.

One of the first things I did as a freshman after moving into the Towers on Livingston in 2002 was meet a girl from Quad 1, we walked around the campus and went inside the RAC.
One of the doors out front was propped open.

Couldn't have been easier.

When the RAC first opened up in 1977 they had scheduled hours where students could use the court. During the winter I would mostly play basketball at the Barn on college Avenue by my dorm, but it was fun playing basketball at the RAC on the teams home court. Students could also watch practices, but seldom bothered. It was a different world in the 1970s.

I remember playing a pickup game with friends on the RAC court back in my day.

Funny side note was at one point a couple of girls from the Women’s team came out of the locker room and joined our game. One of the girls went up strong against my friend and chipped his tooth. We never let him live it down.

So funny reading your comments on playing ball at the RAC - which I clearly remember; bunch of us would go over from College Ave; Barn was fun to play in as well.

Imagine installing a key card system?!?! So high tech!

The offices, locker rooms, and stuff do have that - like you could walk into the RAC, but couldn’t really go anywhere but the court and the bathrooms.

Im kind of surprised they haven’t caught the person yet. It I had to be someone with a badge. Rutgers is dumb, but can’t possibly imagine they’re dumb enough to leave a few million sitting around.

As many of you are aware, the RAC is where a bunch of people work during the day. When I was a student, it was always unlocked during the day. I always thought it was strange that there was no security. You could walk around aimlessly in there and nobody cared.
