Actually, we call it soccer because that's what they called it. "Soccer" is an English word. 🙂

Thats right. I remember reading about this. We followed England, but then England switched at one point? Ironic twist to the soccer/football joke.

Imagine the outrage, boycotts and protests if there had a been a red, white and blue pro-America halftime show.
There's no such thing as a "red, white and blue pro-America show". Just the lunatic fringes on both sides. How about the Mighty Sound of the Southeast playing Metallica.

The NFL is all about capitalism. I read that a record number of international games will be played next year. Expand the market.

I didn't watch any of it.
This is the answer. Too many people try to thread politics into it, but at the end of the day, the NFL is going to do whatever they deem to have the potential for the biggest payout: immediate and/or future.

I guarantee you none of the NFL execs give a hoot about Bad Bunny. What they see is his ability to bring in the Latin American wallet.

Hey Belvedere - if you don`t watch Fox News then likely you are getting news reflecting the bias of the mainstream media. You probably think the small businesses in Minneapolis, for example, are being hurt by law enforcement instead of the incompetent, lying Democratic leaders there who encourage anarchy sorry they are not "peaceful protests" for the most part. You probably think The Learing Center there is an outstanding day care for kids there, even though no kids showed up there. Did you know 4 people were killed in one accident in Indiana a few days ago by yet another illegal who was driving a big rig that the state of Pa. gave him a license to drive? Can you explain how Omar`s husband business was worth $1 one year then $25 mil or so the next? I suppose you think requiring an ID to vote is somehow voter suppression? Funny how the Dems only say this, which is actually very insulting to minorities - only when it comes to voting! Of course, the real reason, the ONLY reason, is that they want to cheat in elections. Do Schumer & Jeffries really think people believe their BS? I suppose you think ICE shouldn`t have masks but the same people who want them & their families' lives put in more danger than they already are wanted people arrested for not wearing a mask during Covid? Guess it was ok to have kids stay out of school forever to satisfy the Teachers Union and not anything that was actually science-based? I could go on all night but I will stop.
As many of you know, Trump and his cronies will be exposed by his OWN party in the coming weeks. One of his cronies will likely resign this week. He's being pushed to resign by both parties.

All of these pedifile protectors are going to be exposed. Our president is protecting the names, as is the FBI and DOJ. It's going to get ugly as they peel the onion.

I may have predicted the outcome of the usc basketball season incorrectly but I was 100% right on this one.

If you believe the administration that is releasing the files is protecting the guilty, then what was the administration doing that buried it for four years?

America has given up! Everyone is more important than Americans these days! This country is headed to **** in a hurry and the dumbest of them all will be right back in the voting booth come November and put the dumbacrats back in charge because it makes perfect sense to run back to the idiots that got us in trouble to begin with. Might as well be talking to the wall though!not sure who is worse
at the end of the day, if you don't like the half time show, just don't watch it and come back to the game once the half time is over. After all of the drama, I was curious, so I watched some of the Turning point USA All American option, I thought it was absolutely terrible, so I stopped watching.

I disagree. I think the NFL is perfectly willing to play politics. The blatant example I remember is threatening to withhold the superbowl from Dallas if a bill was passed to keep guys out of ladies bathrooms.

I'm a right vs wrong guy, not a right vs left. I don't care what happened with the previous administration. Let the truth come out. I firmly believe some big time democrats will go down with the republicans, and they should.

The Republicans are attempting to go after Clinton. That is backfiring.
Trump has taught you well. Point your finger at the previous administration and democrats rather than control what you can control.

And yet you don't come across as that at all, spewing left wing rhetoric. And investigating the Clinton's is "backfiring"? Thats funny.

As for pointing at the previous administration? Yes, its suitable. It shows the blatant hypocrisy for people who never batted an eye at burying the truth when "their side" did it, and then complain when "the other side" actually starts releasing files.

I am not surprised partisans are desperately trying to forget the previous administration's actions. But its more transparent than you think.

I am an independent. I have always leaned more conservative than liberal but Trump is certainly pushing me in the other direction (i'm certainly not the only one).

I am not a fan of Clinton or Biden. I hope Clinton goes down if he committed crimes regarding Epstein. I do find it entertaining that Cromer is going after Clinton and it's backfiring.

If the previous administration committed crimes, go after them. I'm all for it. Pointing at the former administration when discussing the crimes of the current administration is short-sighted but certainly not surprising.

Fyi- I have never voted for a democrat in my life. Very possible this will change in the coming years.

And let me tell you just how much I believe you. After defending the Democrat in the situation (backfiring?), but calling for the Republicans head, I was completely swayed by the obligatory "no, i want to go after both sides" coment.

Again with the former administration, you are brazenly waving the hypocrit flag. You claim Trump is covering up something by releasing files, and dont care about the previous administration that refused to release them. This is the type of ridiculous partisanship that doesnt get erased by the obligatory "i want both sides exposed" comments.

It also rings completely hollow to claim the "coverup" of Trump releasing the files is driving you more towards the opposing party who actually refused to release them.

Believe what you would like. It's 100% true. I may be a lot of things, but i'm not a liar.

Me thinks you are making things up. I am 100% fine with the previous administration going down if they committed crimes. I don't care if Trump releases the files. It's out of his hands. The crimes committed (amongst others) is Krash Patels FBI manipulating the files prior to the DOJ getting involved.

I hope everyone involved in these files goes down. This administration, the previous administration etc. Bipartisan baby!

So now its out of Trump's hands, and its the evil Patel? Okay.

Earlier it was Trump "protecting the names", but now he's not involved.

Politics certainly brings out the silliness in otherwise intelligent people.

Have a nice day.

Out of Trump's hands because his own party has the files in their hands and they are turning on him. Trump can't stop it.

When folks start getting fired or resigning over the next several months, get back to me. You don't need to like it. You don't need to agree. You can blame it on Biden, Obama, Clinton, but it's going to happen.

So again, out of Trump's hands, but he was the one "protecting the names". I suppose consistency is too much to ask.

As for firings and resignings? Those of us who've cared about this long before Trump was re-elected (and then their party told them to start caring) have been hoping for that. I have little faith it'll happen in anyway related to actual justice though.

Too many people who think "justice" is prosecuting one party while excusing the other. Like I said, politics brings out silliness in otherwise intelligent people.

You are very confused. I want everyone prosecuted that is associated with the files, along with those that committed crimes while protecting this group. Republican, democrats, independents, citizens, non citizens, current administrion, past administrations, whites, blacks, Hispanics. I think I make my point.

You continue to suggest ONE party. You are reaching when referring to me. I would include my own blood relatives if they were involved with Epstein. Again, it's right and wrong, not right and left.

I am not confused, I simply dont believe the sincerity of your "both sides" comments when they only come out after you accuse one side while excusing the other.

I dont believe your "both sides" comments when these files are a new thing to you, suddenly so important when for years they weren't.

But that's politics.

I want everyone prosecuted who committed a crime. Simply being named in the files or having been a friend or guest of Epstein's is not a basis for prosecution. Epstein was a wealthy man who moved in top level circles. He had wealthy, powerful friends and associates, some of which likely engaged in illegal behavior. Simply being a friend or associate of Epstein's is not evidence of any wrongdoing.

All of that said, I am all for the prosecution of anyone, regardless of party, position or any other factor who is shown by actual evidence to have committed an illegal act.

I’m watching the other halftime show. I switched over just to see. That may be the most pitiful show, not just Super Bowl halftime show, I have ever witnessed. I defy anyone to come on here and say that’s entertainment. I’m not sure who is less talented, Bad Bunny or Pitbull. I think I have to give it to Bad Bunny. The NFL should be ashamed but they accomplished their cultural appropriation task. A dang wedding…seriously?

Lamont at least showed he could coach when he had reasonable talent. His major problem is talent acquisition. Is that a reflection of being underfunded in the basketball sphere or poor talent evaluation?
A likely almost certainly coming but who will take the job?Saw recently on prominent SEC podcast that they had Carolina men’s basketball job rated as worst in SEC.

FWIW Wexner renounced his affiliation with the Republican Party and became an Independent in 2018.

No one is paying any attention any more. Media has moved on to the Guthrie woman. The coverage on her is laughable. FOX, CNN, you name it, have pretty much nothing but non stop coverage of a case with not one iota more information today than was known on Day 1.

I am fairly certain Trump hasn't got anything to worry about with Epstein. The dems had the files for years and if there had been anything solid in them about Trump, they would have brought it out and prosecuted him and locked him up.

My opinion is, nothing major is going to come of this. There will probably be a few small fish thrown in jail, but the career politicians and big money names will walk away like they always do. Hilary Clinton was/is guilty without a doubt of mishandling secret documents. They did nothing to her at all. Hell, the Clintons have killed more people than cancer and no one has even looked at any of the cases. Obama has never had a job in his life and he has somehow managed to become very wealthy and no one has asked how. Bernie Sanders had a net worth lower than most 35 year olds when he ran for president in 2016. He has never had a job other than being an elected official and, somehow, he got rich enough to own three nice homes in the past 8 years.

All of Hillary’s issues regarding servers and wiped hard drives and lost emails are all related to pay for play in relation to the Clinton Foundation.Rrportedly when she was Sec of State a meeting with her required a donation to the Clinton Foundation. The emails regarding that are what went missing.

Didn't watch the NFL halftime crap. The TPUSA production was... sub-optimal, to put it kindly. However, the flip to Rob Ritchie appeared genuine. The message and the symbolism of that final part was good.
Unfortunately the NFL had billions of dollars to put into their Krazy halftime presentation, TPUSA didn’t!!

Howard Lutnick swore under oath he cut off Jeffrey Epstein in 2005. Today, he admitted he took his wife and four kids to the island for lunch in 2012.

The lies continue. He may be the first to fall.
