I don't hate them. I don't love the rise up to tough act the whole school is putting on now. Couldn't compete in (now 5a) in anything other than golf. well are you saying that there was a lot of great defense in the 3a-4a leagues this year? Everyone saw the Shelby state champ. game. Was that opponent really the second best team in the state at that level?
I guess Bandys, at .500, was a powerhouse too this year? Either way.... my 1 or 2 comments about the 3a/4a league don't matter. Nobody really cares.
Keep pushing this SC is good at football agenda - That's fine. Please do it on the little board. But for god's sake, put on a pair of trousers and schedule teams that don't have a TE using a crutch and a girl WR to compete against. Your argument is futile otherwise.
But, don't come on the 5a/6a board talking this craziness with Highland, Cherryville and Thomas Jefferson on your schedule while you're a 5a enrollment team that pity was taken upon by the NCHSAA and allowed to be placed in the semi-rec league. Reminder- I'm not on the 3a/4a boards telling you this. The 1-2 responses I had down there were reactionary to yours from the 5a/6a boards.

Since this thread is transfer to weaker opponents, and I’m not saying Palisades is a weaker opponent, but they have added a lot of coaches with ties to Gaston County. Also seems that a few kids have indicated they would follow these coaches to Palisades. Anyone have any insight on this situation?
They had a good team last year. 3 of 4 losses was by less than a td. Fast growing area and not lacking money on Lake Wylie for proper nutrition and personal, individual training. I was hoping KM could have gotten at least 1 of the coaches that went, to work on the KM d-line. Can't fall behind other schools with hiring well known, quality position coaches.(Crest doing a great job)

Well I can only hope we don’t lose any players, and I’m sure SP doesn’t want to lose any either. Probably not trying to recruit the third stringers on our teams.
No clue about players leaving and haven't heard that from anyone. I was responding to coaches going though.
A WR from Ashbrook has already posted he was going there and have heard rumors of 2-3 more Gaston County kids going there. The recent coaching hires all have ties to Gaston County, I think. Didn’t some of those guys coach together for the McAdenville Dolphins several years back? I could be wrong about that.
Gonna be top notch coaching I'm sure. The new age of guys jumping ship is going to ruin a lot of memories these guys might have had. What will it be for some of these guys 3 or 4 schools in 4 years? All to maybe go play at NC Weslyan. Pimps take the ugly ones and the pretty ones.
Again, I don’t know if any specific kids are going other than the one that posted he was going. I did think it was ironic that the coaches were hired and then the rumors started coming out about kids going there.

Got a SP kid and Ashbrook kid that started there today. Both kids played at Belmont Middle School. Supposedly getting one more kid from SP. They came hard after our TE #4 last year but he decided to stay at Cramer.
Palisades have reached out to at least one KM kid that I know of a couple of weeks back multiple times. The parents are educated on the recruiting process and couldn’t be fooled as easily. They told the KM parent that they were going to reach out to two SP kids.
If you can't coach, then you'd better recruit great I always say.
