Don’t know if that number includes those who watched it on TV channels like me.

I saw gig on TPUSA site (the sponsor) with 6-7 million but it was linked on many other sites - including a Chinese language station in US (founded by Falun Gong). They like western classical arts and US country culture.

I think that's a reason Kid Rock song moved into classical strings 1:07:00. Gabby Barrett was a surprise (she's new) at 50:00

That is a Murderers Row of "Who?"
Not a country music fan, but:
Brantley Gilbert is a very popular country artist, has been nominated and won numerous country music awards.
Lee Brice- Same
Gabby Barrett- Same- she is only 25, but a very popular country artist.

I only posted that to counter the "narrative" that the show would not be watched by anyone or was a bunch of washed up performers. Not the case at all.

Same as the narrative on Bad Bunny. He is extremely popular right now and a big deal. A large segment of the US population, including a large segment of US citizens speaks fluent Spanish. As I said above, I liked the performance. It was interesting, and the staging and performance was fantastic.

For the “who is Charlie Puth” crowd, here he is with Gabby. Maybe they can unite the country

Epic Twitter beef

Seizure Salad is such a great an inspirational follow on X.

Reversed a seizure disorder, depression and obesity all by going keto. This seems to a be a controversial topic nowadays. It shouldn't be. For many, dropping carbs and processed foods and done what medical professionals and pharmaceutical products could not do. In some cases, the pharma products do more harm than good. That is not a criticism of pharmaceutical products or traditional medicine. Everyone is different, and some find success and are disciplined enough to find a different path. This does not work for everyone. She hikes 30 plus miles each weekend day around Seattle. She lifts heavy. Yet some mock the concept of being healthy and think a pill or a shot will be better. Sorry for the rant.

Yeah, actually it was.

He said God Bless America, a phrase of Patriotism and Pride for The United States of America, and then said all the countries in the “Americas”. Mexico, Canada, central/south America. He said the USA in the middle of all the other counties.

He took a slogan of pride for the USA and denigrated it. Just like when he didn’t stand for God Bless America at the Yankee game.

God Bless America in the USA does not mean “f*ck all the other countries of the Americas”. There is no need to be offended by it or change the meaning of it.

How dare he include all the countries of North America, Central America, and South America.

Only a true Red Hat, Orange Blowing, Klanchella Loving snowflake would be offended by someone saying GOD BLESS AMERICA to EVERYONE in ALL OF THE AMERCIAS.

Darnold only had one scholarship for senior year - a basketball scholarship from USC. He went to a USC football camp later and they were impressed and offered him a football ride. He was a LB in high school and one year the QB got hurt and he filled in and did good, That was his QB experience before USC. He's a good athlete who needed a little more polish for NFL and Jets could not provide it
Where are you getting this info? He was a 5 star from Cali

Sam Darnold was a highly regarded recruit in the class of 2015,
rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals.com. Emerging from San Clemente High School in California, he was ranked as the No. 8 dual-threat quarterback in his class and the 179th best player overall.

The two of you need to calm down and dial it down a bit. tico brown- very disappointed in your use of "Orange Blowing". And have no idea was a Klanchella Loving snowflake means. The message can be interpreted in different ways. And with that, I disagree with JFK20's interpretation that Bad Bunny denigrated America.

Everyone calm down.

BTW, the message on the football was: "Together, We Are America". Perhaps he was speaking about everyone who has immigrated to America, or maybe it was a broader message. No need to start a war over it.

As for giving the Grammy to the young boy, Grok had this to say::

The child was a young actor named Lincoln Fox (of Argentinian and Egyptian descent). Fox posted on Instagram afterward, calling it his "truest honor" and using hashtags like #youngbadbunny and #littlebadbunny, indicating he portrayed a younger version of Bad Bunny himself. The symbolism, as widely interpreted by media outlets (e.g., The New York Times, Detroit News, USA Today, and fan discussions on Reddit/Instagram/X):
  • Passing the torch to his younger self — It represented Bad Bunny (Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) reflecting on his own journey from a kid in Puerto Rico dreaming big to becoming a global superstar and recent Grammy winner (including Album of the Year). The scene showed a family watching his Grammy acceptance speech on an old TV, then Bad Bunny stepping in to hand the award to the boy while saying something like "Cree siempre en ti" ("Always believe in yourself"). It was a manifestation of dreams coming true and encouragement for the next generation.
  • Inspiration for young Latinos and children of immigrants — In the context of the show's celebration of Puerto Rican/Latino heritage, unity across the Americas, and immigrant contributions (echoed in the "Together, We Are America" football message at the end), it symbolized hope, representation, and possibility. Bad Bunny has often spoken about his roots, immigrant stories, and giving back—here, it reminded viewers (especially kids watching) that success is achievable, and cultural pride can lead to greatness.
-------
In all, an uplifting message that anyone can make it in the USA. If others want to turn it into something else, that their problem. And not surprised with the response of the guy who got so much support from Latinos. Guy still can read the room and look for something to unite people. Sheesh.

Darnold is and always was an obvious player. Loser organizations like the Jets make the worst moves. It’s why they are losers.

Devin McCourty’s daughter doing pregame interviews on the SB show. Pretty cool

I'd take Bad Bunny on a date before Lady Ga Ga.
Stay with me. I'll take his seconds. . . . .!!!!
Lots of beautiful dancers on the field.

Tried CC's with YouTubeTV, but the CCs in Espanol. 🤷‍♂️

Seems very festive and happy. The dancing is fantastic.
It was a celebration of Hispanic culture, fun and festive and very musical. Those folks know how to party .Good times .

Do you think the little kid will give it to the ICE agent who made sure he was okay when his father ran away and left him standing alone on the sidewalk?
Huge swing and miss, but don't let your politics cloud your judgment. The young boy was an actor named Lincoln Fox (of Argentinian and Egyptian descent). Fox posted on Instagram afterward, calling it his "truest honor" and using hashtags like #youngbadbunny and #littlebadbunny, indicating he portrayed a younger version of Bad Bunny himself.

But go on. . . .

Go to Spain or many South American cities. We spent almost 2 weeks in Seville, Spain. What a fun atmosphere. People smiling, laughing, streets filled with people having a good time. Flamenco music.

rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals.com. Emerging from San Clemente High School in California, he was ranked as the No. 8 dual-threat quarterback in his class and the 179th best player overall.

His story was well reported when he was drafted. He was a LB/WR as a sophomore. In his JR year the QB got hurt and Darnold was made the starter because he was a good athlete. He broke his foot and was not heavily recruited. He had a USC BB scholarship first and then went to a camp and caught coaches eyes. Darnold had to go to see coaches for offers otherwise not offered. USC originally wanted him for LB.

"Because he was so good at hoops and lost much of his junior football season to a broken foot, he wasn't highly recruited. His first contact with USC came from Trojans DC Justin Wilcox, who wanted to recruit him as an outside linebacker. He politely declined. But in part because his San Clemente coach put together a basketball highlight video, the Trojans ultimately were intrigued enough to offer him a scholarship.

"The Trojans had not extended an offer to Darnold until late in the process, as they had a verbal commitment from Ricky Town, another four-star quarterback from California, with Cody Kessler and Max Browne already part of their quarterback room.

It was at the Trojans' camp during the summer going into his senior year of high school that Darnold caught the eyes of then-USC head coach Steve Sarkisian and quarterbacks coach Clay Helton. He was offered by USC shortly after and then verbally committed to the Trojans less than two weeks later"

As we know, once a player gets a good offer others follow and a room temperature player gets hot.

It's the death of the monoculture. It's possible to be very popular while being unknown to large segments of the population.
