FOs better but still less than 50%. Army will be pushing so Rutgers will have to keep it up.

Good result so far but we need to do better on clears and gbs. Too many turnovers and we are letting what should be clean GBs turn to scrums, which is Army’s game. Big assist to the bubble. Army goalie is not picking up the ball well. Clean up a couple of these issues and keep the pressure on.

Wings need to be a lot better. Fogo has solid enough. Defensive sliding needs work. Army immediately exploits sloppy slides with cuts. Too easy.

Shooting percentage needs to be better. We are getting tons of looks.

Should be up by at least 3. I don’t understand why we consistently have such a poor shooting percentage. Need to force the Army goalie to make saves. He is struggling to track the ball but we’re making it easy by missing the cage on open looks.

Would posted the same thing win or lose. Just need to keep working. Ball movement needs to get better. I get what we were wee doing but it needs to happen faster and it needs to come from ball movement. The two man game is good and it’s creating a ton of space but it just needs to get more crisp. Too much running with the ball instead of passing it. Do what you but do it off ball movement.

Agree with Rbled. Shooting percentage is a problem. Should have easily had 13 goals today including two missed dunks.

We could barely get off a shot in the 2nd half. Army was smothering our two man game behind the goal and at GLE.

Outscored 6-2 in the half and lose 11-9. Disappointing finish after a strong first half, but Army is a strong team.

Tough 2nd half....ooof...BUT most of us never expected the "W" here looking at the schedule pre-season. Get to 7-2 going into conference play should be the goal. LET'S GO BOYZ!!!

This game deserved to be in the stadium in front of RU fans. Too bad about this weather.

Yeah, completely took away any home field advantage. Army’s sideline and whoever else was allowed in (family members?) were just as loud or louder than RU’s contingent.

I'm not sure that makes a difference. They've now won 6 of the last 7 and not sure a couple hundred people, in sub-artic temps, are gonna be making too much noise.

Honestly playing in the bubble aint a horrible idea if they can add enough stands to fit like 1,000-1,500 fans. Thats typically around what we draw and the football stadium doesnt create much of an atmosphere with that few people. But a bubble with 1,000 people would be rockin

No chance of fitting 1000 ppl in the bubble for a lax game.

We need a lot more than 1,500. When the weather is nice we get double that and more.

The indoor thing may actually happen. Just not in the Bubble.

Looking at the stats, we didn't get off as many shots as I thought. 37. Still, our shooting percentage is not great. Turnovers were 5 more than them and groundballs were 10 less. They were very good at picking up first time gb's. We struggled in that area, especially on faceoffs which were pretty good. You can't lose the turnover battle and lose the groundball battle. It's tough to win doing both of those things

I think we need to shorten our bench. We are playing too many midfielders, One of our starting attackmen was 1-7 shooting. That's a tough day. A number of our middies had more turnovers than shots or assists, and some of them took shots that might as well have been a turnover. Shots that just don't go at this level. I love having Colin at attack but we need to get the ball out of his stick some. Having a true QB at attack would do wonders for this offense. We have seen two games in a row where the offense scores 7 in the first half, is humming, the opponent makes adjustments and our offense gets bogged down. More ball movement and better shooting when we get looks. And when we get dunks on the doorstep they simply have to be finished. You can't miss those at this level.

Yes those stats are from 85% of the games being in crap weather. If you didn’t have to deal with weather the attendance would be much higher than 1k, like we see later in the season.

Like I said, we may see an indoor facility. Really cool thing around that potentially happening.

Not having a true x attackman is really hurting. 7 of 9 goals were unassisted vs only 5 of 11 unassisted for Army. When we moved the ball we got looks, many point blank and we didn’t finish. Agree with Cali we need to shorten the middie bench and need to look at different combos on attack. Any idea what’s up with Aiello? Went from starting almost every game as a true freshman to only playing EMO. Is he not full go? Thought he might take a leap this year.

A nice day for Penn St. will draw 5000, about 40% Penn St. fans.

I think the true attackman who is a distributor is #3. He’s very quick and that speed is valuable to start a fire at midfield but I’d like to see what he looks like at attack. You could move C Kurdyla to MF which would take him off the field some but he’d also get more opportunities to attack from the box. It’s a new offense and it’s going to take time to gel but the lack of ball movement needs to change. It can’t just be pick game and switching and going one on one. It’s great when it works but when he doesn’t we have nowhere else to go. Army was adept at getting action behind the ball so even if the ball carrier was covered they got looks inside. I can’t see on the broadcasts but it seems like we get little action off ball. Either the two man game works or it gets stifled and the possession is over.
