I suspect Chinyelu has it locked up. However, if we win out or somehow grab a share of regular season title with OO averaging 20 ppg then he'll probably get the nod.

What are the stats of his biggest competition? I haven’t followed the league real close this year
His SEC stats are great but, overall, he's #13 in the SEC in scoring average. I'd say he has little chance of POY. It will probably be either Philon or Acuff, who are both averaging over 20 ppg. Hough has to be a contender as well since he's probably the best player in the league.

Oweh might not make First Team, there’s still some “dudes” in the SEC this season. However, I hope he does 👍🏼

SEC player of the year only counts SEC games. Has nothing to do with out of conference games. He’s right there and has a great shot.

well going off of sec numbers it would be ament, then acuff
Then Ament had one hell of a game this week, because out of ppg, apg, rpg and turnovers, Oweh led in 3 of 4.

Not counting this weeks games:

Ament
PPG: 18.5
RPG: 5.6
APG: 2.1
TPG: 2.4

Oweh
PPG: 20.2
RPG: 4.3
APG: 2.3
TPG: 1.5

That is quite correct in theory. The reality is some of the voters don't know nearly as much about it as the average poster on this board. I hope Otega gets the recognition he deserves but I think it would be hard to find somebody that's not a UK fan that would vote him SEC POY, at least right now.
