This is an interesting stat (9 games 3-6 record), and it looks like Duke and Ark have played one less than us at 8. Can’t say we won’t be tested as the season winds down. Just have to keep finding ways (even if ugly) to win. Go Cats!
Yeap, a win is a win. Houston is a fantastic team, but if we had their coach, people would be bitching about the offense.
Exactly. Just like there will always be fans on here that tell others how to fan.Fans are always gonna want their team to be better and hypothesize on why they’re not and how they could be. I’m pretty sure we questioned depth and point guard play in 2012 while we were late in a 24 game winning streak.
It’s part of the fun. The analytical aspect. Part of why people follow.
Some people. Then some like interacting with other fans by telling them why they’re a bad fan and why they should be happy with losses.
It’s like selling someone a **** sandwich and not wanting to know how it tastes.
Some on here clearly enjoy that aspect of it. To each their own

Call me stupid, but, I really see this team getting better. Players seem to know their role, I noticed Noah is a back up for Oweh! Like I could see a real rotation!! BG and Moreno kinda go off who’s hot. But, this team seems to be getting better. Led me to think about those Pitino teams that always peaked right around March. I felt like Cals teams always peaked too early.
I guess all those Florida guys just absolutely love playing for a creep. And no I'm never dropping it. He definitely is a ******* weirdo who got away with it because his bosses liked the winning too much. The one thing that is still lacking a little with losing Kam is length on the perimeter. The small forward spot could become a problem on defense with versatile guys in the 6'7-69 range being able to shoot over Chandler/Oweh/Noah.
However, I like being able to put Mo-D on those guys as long as those teams don't have other dominant big men...that's where Florida is going to be a really tough matchup for this UK team.
Put some Jelli on it - he’s a very efficient perimeter defenderThe one thing that is still lacking a little with losing Kam is length on the perimeter. The small forward spot could become a problem on defense with versatile guys in the 6'7-69 range being able to shoot over Chandler/Oweh/Noah.

It seems like you just want to believe it. If you weren’t there how could you be so sure about his guilt or innocence ? If it were true, he’d have been fired. This isn’t the old days where things like this can be swept under the rug. The truth eventually gets released.I guess all those Florida guys just absolutely love playing for a creep. Golden is a pervert.
I’d consider myself something of an optimist and even I can’t see a final four run on the best of days. I’d say a Sweet 16 is the likely ceiling. If you got the right draw and a bunch of wild upsets opened things up, a perfect world run of Elite Eight is possible. I can’t wrap my mind around thinking that highly of this team, as much as I’d like to. If you held a gun to my head, I’d assume we lose in the round of 32.I want to say we have a team that is starting to "get it" or maybe even "believe," but that Vanderbilt game is still in my head.
Moments I think, heck this team could go on a final 4 run, and other moments I think we should replace our coach and start over.
I am not crazy about this rollercoaster but here we are.
George Mason, FAU, hell st Peter's to the elite 8. Odds against us sure, but I refuse to believe an elite 8 or final 4 isn't possible. Just wouldn't bet on it even with someone else's money.I’d consider myself something of an optimist and even I can’t see a final four run on the best of days. That's why I said E8 or F4 I refuse to say isn't possible. Hell UCONN won a title after not being in the tournament without winning 5 games in the BE tourney. Just be the best team in March and April. Pope gets this team to the final 4 and my fiance will finally see what a UK final 4 does to a man lolThere have been some really bad coaches and mediocre teams make the final four. It doesn’t take a lot to be a final four contender. Going further back, John Brady, Tom Crean, Paul Hewitt come to mind. Kevin Keats very recently only to be fired a year later.
A title contender? That’s a different story.
The Vandy game is a head-scratcher for sure. But the MSU and Gonzaga games were I think more wrong place, wrong time for us. The UK team that played in those games had no clue what it was doing and didn't seem to even want to compete. Gonzaga hasn't beaten a top-30 KenPom team all year and just lost to Portland. MSU is only 3-3 this season against top-30 KenPom teams and has lost two in a row overall including one to #76 Minnesota. Play those two teams now and I think things would be very different. The SEC is really down IMO. I think Florida is the only SEC team that has any shot at the FF. Our games against them will give us a better idea if we can compete with a legit team. The two teams (zags and Mich St) we played that are currently top 10 smoked us. Vandy at 17 smoked us.
Thats because we have a fine margin of error. A lot of folks poo poo us having injuries, but its a real thing. I don't hear Mark using it as an excuse, on the contrary, he is getting the most out of what he has. Some nights fight and scrap will win you games or keep you in them, but sometimes the ball won't bounce your way and a better team will put it on you. On to the next oneI want to say we have a team that is starting to "get it" or maybe even "believe," but that Vanderbilt game is still in my head.

I think with the injury circumstances we would all be ok with a loss most times. It's the blow outs. We have enough to never be blown out IMO.Thats because we have a fine margin of error.
