Probably but he should still try something else because we come out flat and the starters put us in a hole immediately
preseason it was obvious this was a collection of players who were really bad at shooting
Sooo many open looks. Can’t be shooting 2/17 from 3 and expect to win on the road.
And for some reason we keep rolling out the same lineup that gets us down 7-10 every game.

Just amazing how we literally can't make open outside shots. Sorry, but if this is what 6M gets you, we overpaid.

This game was more of an outlier than the norm. We were exceptionally bad from the perimeter. Coming in to tonight, we were shooting 31.4% from 3P. Tonight, we shot 11.8%. Our shooting percentage is still poor, but tonight was downright pathetic.
I will still be pretty pissed, but I am understand this team was always going to go down to earth. I wish they didn't have that fake good start. I think getting ranked was also undeserved considering who we have beaten and how we beat teams. IDK just feels everything is stacked against us. I would feel so much better if this arrogant NIL didn't hurt us. Now I see "bought" program St Johns benefit after being a joke for years. And I'm sorry I just have this weird vendetta against the MWC. I will always hate that undeserving conference who beat all their A-10 level competition and comitte suck that conference like it's vastly superior to big east.
I wish I didn't let my anger out on Sha, but Is wear in 2024 4-5 teams from MWC stole a bid over us. It's also their annoying football influence that has corrupted NCAA basketball which is why F SEC too.
Team just has to get 20-22 wins. 21 and 22 wins mean we had to beat either UCONN or St Johns. Don't know if we can do it with how pathetic our guys plays throughout a game. Just sad man. 2020 and 2024 was stolen from us.

I do enjoy watching this team but the reality is we don't have the same level of talent that the upper echelon teams in our league have. Sha's roster building strategy embraces the "hard work beats talent" quote, but the challenge is that the second half of that quote is "when the talent doesn't work hard." When these more talented teams match our effort, it's usually not going to go our way.
By now we should know one thing about today's Basketball. You need at least one player if not two who can shoot 3s at a good % every game . I do not know how much money we have but we MUST bring in at least one player who can shoot the ball. I know Hines is a player we would love to have back but in today's game pro and college the 5 position is not a priority . Point guard is still important and then players that can shoot .Good defense will keep you in games but you have to be able to score .
Everything you say makes sense, but Division 1 players should be able to hit 1 or two wide open threes. Its that bad. The UConn gals AINT missing all those shots.
As Danny Hurley said! He learned that recruiting good defensive players is not the key to a successful program. You need to recruit skilled offensive players and teach them defense; much more difficult to teach a good defender to be a good offense player. You need shooters first
