Again, it is 2026 not 2015.I'm sure this would be well received by all the high school coaches across the state of Nebraska and would help improve their relationship with the Nebraska staff.

So where was your outrage when Raiola transferred?FWIW - Dylan Raiola did the same thing and transferred to Buford HS to be close to the University of Georgia for his Senior year too.
Obviously didn't know that budSo where was your outrage when Raiola transferred?
There has been talk about creating club teams and bypassing high school sports period. PE knows they can undercut the cost of private schools, negotiate NIL, sell broadcast rights, and make money.Maybe Nebraska is starting a new trend. Turning a local high school into their very own prep school. I am not even joking and would not be surprised if this becomes the norm until some type of actual rules are in place that can be enforced by the NCAA.
Not to mention he also explicitly said he would NOT leave Carmel earlier this year….Nothing about this makes sense.
- Let a kid be a kid. Why the rush to grow up?
- He's no where near being ready to play as a true freshman. His body has to bulk up. Again, why the rush?
- People around him are allowing this kid to make everything about him and playing him up to be bigger than he is.
- example - "I'm literally the only QB in the country that calls all his own plays, calls the protections, changes the plays, etc" No way that's accurate
- example - Spend 5 minutes on his twitter account
- Why would NIL opportunities be better leaving Chicagoland to Lincoln? Why is NIL the end all be all?
- This screams that this is all about one person. How about sticking around and finishing what you started with your Carmel teammates and coaches? They are the one's to help you get where you are.
- Kid mentions that he wanted to go play for a coaching staff that will help him grow. Mallards coach went to Hastings College. Carmel's played for the Chicago Bears and currently works for the Chicago Bears.
- Competition is far superior in the CCL compared to the schedule Mallard plays. Mallard didn't have one competitive game all season.
- How is living over an hour away from your hs a good thing? He will live in Lincoln and go to school in Omaha.
- He mentions being able to meet with coaches on gameday to learn the playbook. No coach would ever do this.
- Coaches who recruited him will most likely not even be there when he's there.
What?! A high level recruit changed his mind on something he said months ago? Blasphemy! Not to mention he also explicitly said he would NOT leave Carmel earlier this year….
I have to laugh at all of the hypocrisy/irony in the list of why it's a "bad" idea and the claim he said he wouldn't leave Carmel. What?! A high level recruit changed his mind on something he said months ago? Blasphemy!
Next thing you know kids who followed "Gods vision" for them when deciding on a school will start transferring after only one year at their chosen school. Mark my words, it'll happen.
His actual quote was “I’m not sure how any rumors get started but I’m not transferring to Mt. Carmel, Loyola, LWE, IMG or any other school. If I were to leave I’d be headed to Nebraska.“Not to mention he also explicitly said he would NOT leave Carmel earlier this year….
It was pretty clear cut he was moving to Nebraska after that comment. His actual quote was “I’m not sure how any rumors get started but I’m not transferring to Mt. Carmel, Loyola, LWE, IMG or any other school. If I were to leave I’d be headed to Nebraska.“
