FWIW - Dylan Raiola did the same thing and transferred to Buford HS to be close to the University of Georgia for his Senior year too. ​

I'm wondering how much access he can have to the university as a recruit? This was new information to me. I thought there were very strict policies on how universities talk to their recruits, how often, when, etc. If recruits can move to college towns a year early and have unlimited access to the school, that does seem like a huge advantage. I was surprised when I read that in the tweet

There has been talk about creating club teams and bypassing high school sports period. PE knows they can undercut the cost of private schools, negotiate NIL, sell broadcast rights, and make money.

Looks like there may be up to 6 Nebraska commits moving to play HS ball in Nebraska now. Wonder if they are all going to Millard South HS? Wonder if this was orchestrated by Nebraska?

  6. Kid mentions that he wanted to go play for a coaching staff that will help him grow. Mallards coach went to Hastings College. Carmel's played for the Chicago Bears and currently works for the Chicago Bears.
  7. Competition is far superior in the CCL compared to the schedule Mallard plays. Mallard didn't have one competitive game all season.
  8. How is living over an hour away from your hs a good thing? He will live in Lincoln and go to school in Omaha.
  9. He mentions being able to meet with coaches on gameday to learn the playbook. No coach would ever do this.
  10. Coaches who recruited him will most likely not even be there when he's there.

Not to mention he also explicitly said he would NOT leave Carmel earlier this year….

What?! A high level recruit changed his mind on something he said months ago? Blasphemy!

Next thing you know kids who followed "Gods vision" for them when deciding on a school will start transferring after only one year at their chosen school. Mark my words, it'll happen.

I have to laugh at all of the hypocrisy/irony in the list of why it's a "bad" idea and the claim he said he wouldn't leave Carmel.

It was pretty clear cut he was moving to Nebraska after that comment.
