Before anyone gets too worked up over him being a walk-on, he spent 7 years in the foster system. Therefore he gets free instate tuition. So Stein gets a 3 star player for free (scholly wise). It frees his scholarship up for another player.

Same. I never understood the reputation he had as some great recruiter. Either that was greatly exaggerated, or our coaches were totally incompetent.
An amazing recruiter compared to our historical standards. Thankfully stein looks like he's going to build on it and get even better classes.
Comparing apples to oranges. Marrow had every resource possible that none of the previous staffs had. Kentucky didn’t take football seriously until after Stoops was hired. The recruiting budget was peanuts until after Stoops was hired.
All things considered, Marrow was a below average recruiter at best. We know he has no idea how to coach.
Until the last contract extension, they couldn't even use a private plane. Most of their best recruiting work was done flying commercial and scraping by. The only facilities advantage they were given was a recruiting room, which was pathetic they even had to demand one.
Ya marrow is an a$$ and stoops results tailed off. But no need to act like they didn't move the program forward.
You can tell when someone isn't from Kentucky and pronounces is Looser-ville whereas everyone that lives there or in Kentucky at least correctly pronounces it Loser-ville.

I don’t know one thing about him but he just became my favorite player on our team. He’s a Ky boy not far from where I’m from, I played against RockCastle in football in HS, he grew up in the foster system so that automatically makes me cheer him on and he flipped from little brother to come play for the Cats!
We’ve got some good lineman as well from RockCastle in years past if my memory serves me right.
