And I agree with the 6-3 finish but we need to get one of these 3 IMO:

At Villanova
At Connecticut
St. John’s

I also wonder if some of the uninspired play against Butler and DePaul was a result of the really rough losses to UConn and SJU. I agree with the positives that we have both all they could handle.

Don’t disagree. They are being paid like professionals, but are still young adults in the grand scheme of things.

How they deal with the ups and downs both physically and emotionally is hard to predict at times. Being able to remain consistent and avoid the “January Swoons” is more an evaluation of the coach’s leadership than anything else.

I also understand our fan base can get loud but is more reactionary at games. It would be nice to see them provide a pick me up regardless of how things are going. Find a way to jump start the team even if the positive play is minor.

Entertaining, yes.
I don't think Payne has "bad hands," though he does miss a lot of bunnies. Excellent rebounder and (as you mention) MUCH BETTER than expected.
Fanta is fine, and there were 8,000 people at the Rock on Saturday, hardly a "sparse" crowd.
Carino is right to call out the students, regardless of his age. They showed up for the UConn game because they were begged, cajoled, and shamed into showing up.

You must need glasses if you are missing all the times he loses balls on passes, rebounds, attempted shots etc. He definitely needs to do 100 finger tip pushups to improve his ability to hold on to the ball. It is like a hot potato when it touches his hands.

He had two or more fingers taped up for most of the season which I thought might have been the reason. Hand/finger issues are a bigly problem for someone playing center.

To be fair. The reported attendance of 8,131 from ESPN’s website is always the tickets sold number, not the amount of people that came through the turnstile.

Just from visual observation on TV it didn’t look anywhere close to that number and it wasn’t just the student section that had many vacant seats.

True, but having been at the game, I would state that it was closer to 8,000 than "sparse."

If I were reading something right in front of me, you'd be correct. Otherwise, my vision is good. I find it hard to believe that our leading rebounder has hands as bad as you say. I've seen a LOT worse in SHU uniforms over the years.
