man Crystal was such a joy to watch! incredible player. Her and Kealia Ohai (Watts) were one of the deadliest collegiate duos the sport had ever seen.

Ofcourse, her club and International career speaks for itself. Would love to see her back at UNC sometime in the future in some capacity. Her name now rests alongside all the other UNC soccer greats

Wow, I thought our class coming in was ranked number 2 or 3. I had no idea we were number 1. Congratulations Damon and Staff. Thanks for sharing. Go Heels!

4 Tar Heels on the USWNT Roster for the SheBelieves Cup!

Sentnor, Dahlien, Fox and Dickey.

9 on the team went pro before college, but for comparison: Stanford, UVA, Penn State each had 2 and FSU, Wisc, NCSU, WVU, tOSU, UCLA and Miami each had 1.

I'm sorry... I'm confused... is this picture from this spring? Kayleigh Herr used to wear No. 30 for us... but she's still on Penn State's spring roster. But that looks like Munson, Devey, and I see Alvarez (who did not play with Herr before she transferred). We don't have a No. 30 on our roster right now.

They do a really sorry job of promoting those games.

For those who haven't visited the other forum,

UVA @ Dorrance(?) on 3/29 - 2pm
@Wake on 4/16 @ 6pm

Way to represent Deus. This young lady will have to start for us this coming season along with those transfers coming in and the main ones who started last year. There should be a few more freshmen starting too. This freshmen class is very talented and very good. Go Heels!

We went to the game yesterday. They lost 0-1 on a goal around the 30' (?), but I think they played better than UVA. The first half was back and forth, but I think UNC were on the attack for most of the second. There were so many new players and Damon was making a lot of changes, so it was hard to keep up. Standouts for me were Antonucci(?) and Kennedy. They were VERY good in the mid-field. With the transfers and 1 FR, I really thought the defense would be the strength of this team for 2026, and it may end up that way, but the mids were really impressive. Most of what I know about the FR and transfers came because Anson was sitting about 10' away and was shouting out a lot. So we were able to pick out a few of the newbies.

He started Gaetino at 9/10 and that didn't last long. He pulled her out maybe 10' in. She went back in later in the first and I think she played most of the second. Had a few chances, but finishing was definitely an issue. Pretty certain that she didn't play in the back at all.

Deus did not impress me. Very few touches and seemed to be chasing a lot. I don't think she saw much time on the field.

Johann started but I think it was Gundry that came in for the second.

Stratton and Mara in the back were impressive. Maybe not the fastest, but very disciplined and capable and they bring a lot of size. I think they had Leah Kuklick playing on the back right in the second. She's listed as a forward but looked pretty comfortable back there.

I think Summer Denigan was playing 7 right in front of us for a while. Whoever it was had a lot of hustle. It may have been Blum, I couldn't tell. O'Neill got some PT as well, but I just can't recall where or when.

I've thought that Devey was the most versatile and impactful player last season, but she didn't look great yesterday. She did get shuffled around a lot. She and Aven and Pennie came off the bench (wouldn't see too much into that). Aven was, as usual, a force to be reckoned with. Can't say too much about Pennie's impact, but we know what we have with her.

We all know how fast Hope is, but christ almighty, it's just a different thing to watch live. We go to all of the home games, so I've seen it plenty of times, but it's still just shocking. Someone tried a self-pass around her and I just chuckled.

My final thought - defense and mids look good with some depth if we can keep everyone through the summer. Finishing could be an issue.

Edited after reading another account - I missed some things and was a bit too hard on some folks in this post. Devey did some things that I forgot about - two or three breakups. Her workrate is at the top of this team and I'm convinced that she could challenge anyone for any position on this team. So maybe my expectations are too high.
