That would have been sweet if Merrill could have held on for the win. 30 seconds with a 1 point lead but Cody was very tired, didn't react quickly or strongly and gave up the takedown. He was close to 2 takedowns but couldn't get control. Also he could've won by riding Elam out in the second period but didn't react on a start and Elam got away. Also could have won maybe with an escape in the 3rd but couldn't quite get away. Cody is close and hopefully this close match against number 2 pushes him into the top level. Dopps lost but battled and kept it close and so did Doucet.Facundo was close to takedowns several times but got 1 in a tie 1 to 1 match. He was in the legs and sucked up his opponent, picked him up and dumped him down for the takedown and the win.
24-9.What is the final team score?
Facundo won 4 to 2, Dopps lost 5 to 1 giving up a last second takedown, Merrill lost 4 to 1 giving up a last second takedown in the second overtimes and Doucet lost 5 to 2.Can someone post the individual scores for last 4 matches.
Was bad both ways. Cody was stalling v Rocky.I will say that ref was absolutely terrible. His stall calls were baffling.
Just to point out, David threw the brick twice tonight and I’d bet he’s thrown it 5 times total in his career…2 of them tonight.

Were you watching the same match I was? Cody and Rocky had their stalling moments but I feel like it was pretty even. Was bad both ways. Cody was stalling v Rocky.
Rumor has it, as of yesterday, he was dismissed from the team. Seems like he didn’t want to make 184 and wrestle.I don’t think anyone really knows. He’s still on the team but hasn’t wrestled at all this year for whatever reason.
This is spot on. That match seemed to be horribly officiated.Elam was running off the mat so much. Merrill had a heck of a match. I really thought he had a takedown for a second or so. Enough for me
I was watching the same match. I didn’t say that Rocky wasn’t stalling either. Were you watching the same match I was? Cody and Rocky had their stalling moments but I feel like it was pretty even.
Doucet gets dinged for doing the exact same thing that Elam did twice in the previous match. This is spot on. That match seemed to be horribly officiated.
Exactly!!Doucet gets dinged for doing the exact same thing that Elam did twice in the previous match.
No, it wasn’t. Sorry. Was bad both ways. Cody was stalling v Rocky.
THIS. That loss--while painful--might have been the best thing to happen to Cody. He is so dang close.Cody is close and hopefully this close match against number 2 pushes him into the top level.
That was me…I sit right behind the TV/Radio folk. The one ref was horrible...it was funny you could hear the crowds insults for him through the TV. Was disappointed that Elam seemed to taunt the crowd on his "lucky" survival.
Robb medical redshirt I think. Why did Dopps wrestle over Robb? Was listening when I could on radio….did Doucette get hit late with a stall while losing?
Not sure what they were watching. I thought there were quite a few exciting matches where the counters were just really good.
Fealt sorry for Cody. He wrestled his a-- off against a very good opponent that had a huge size advantage over him. He endured being kicked in the face and choked holded (Elam shouldve been dq'd) and the refs letting Elam run off of the mat everytime Cody came close to taking him down. That would have been sweet if Merrill could have held on for the win. 30 seconds with a 1 point lead but Cody was very tired, didn't react quickly or strongly and gave up the takedown. Agree 100% and the ref likely cost Cody a big upset win.I will say that ref was absolutely terrible. His stall calls were baffling.

Agree 100% they wrestled their tails off today. They represented Cowboy wrestling with both class and flair.Today may have been the best performance by an OSU team in years, especially when paired with a quality opponent. 1-10 wrestled hard and smart, even Dopp!
Two teams who value defense but not looking to turn the duel into a snooze fest hooked it up today. Great action and solid wrestling skills made for a great match.
Merrill got screwed, Doucet showed AA potential, and what the hell got into Dee?
My only disappointment was Landon as Zerban played defense and Landon hasn’t figured out how to attack the height difference.
Disappointed in the crowd but the 10,000 that was there brought the loud and proud.
