Facundo was close to takedowns several times but got 1 in a tie 1 to 1 match. He was in the legs and sucked up his opponent, picked him up and dumped him down for the takedown and the win.
That would have been sweet if Merrill could have held on for the win. 30 seconds with a 1 point lead but Cody was very tired, didn't react quickly or strongly and gave up the takedown. He was close to 2 takedowns but couldn't get control. Also he could've won by riding Elam out in the second period but didn't react on a start and Elam got away. Also could have won maybe with an escape in the 3rd but couldn't quite get away. Cody is close and hopefully this close match against number 2 pushes him into the top level. Dopps lost but battled and kept it close and so did Doucet.

Why did Dopps wrestle over Robb? Was listening when I could on radio….did Doucette get hit late with a stall while losing?

Was bad both ways. Cody was stalling v Rocky.
No, it wasn’t. Sorry.

That guy missed two takedowns, two locked hands and handed out stall calls on us like he was giving out charity.

Rocky stalled at the end of regulation and it got Cody hurt. Him holding his hands out, was simple gamesmanship. If you can hold your hands out, you can try something to get out.

That match was stolen from Cody. He was screwed from a TD and was on the stall buzzer, not to mention two locked hands.

That guy was a bum!

The one ref was horrible...it was funny you could hear the crowds insults for him through the TV. Was disappointed that Elam seemed to taunt the crowd on his "lucky" survival.
That was me…I sit right behind the TV/Radio folk.

Hopefully my vulgar language, ice comments and name calling didn’t make it through.

That ref needs a review on his performance. It was literally terrible. When we throw two bricks, you know it’s bad!

Not sure what they were watching. I thought there were quite a few exciting matches where the counters were just really good.

Both Basch and Beshada are primarily watching other teams just to glaze PSU all the time. They are both PSU homers. Dont take their word on anything OSU. Vega-Ech was really good, as was Casey-Frost. Multiple shots and great defense by all involved.

Today may have been the best performance by an OSU team in years, especially when paired with a quality opponent. 1-10 wrestled hard and smart, even Dopp!
Two teams who value defense but not looking to turn the duel into a snooze fest hooked it up today. Great action and solid wrestling skills made for a great match.
Merrill got screwed, Doucet showed AA potential, and what the hell got into Dee?
My only disappointment was Landon as Zerban played defense and Landon hasn’t figured out how to attack the height difference.
Disappointed in the crowd but the 10,000 that was there brought the loud and proud.

Fealt sorry for Cody. He wrestled his a-- off against a very good opponent that had a huge size advantage over him. He endured being kicked in the face and choked holded (Elam shouldve been dq'd) and the refs letting Elam run off of the mat everytime Cody came close to taking him down.

Adding insult was the piss poor display of poor sportsmanship Elam showed after winning the match. If I'd been his coach, I'd gone on the mat and dragged his butt off and chewed his butt. There is no place for either the way he wrestled or the way he acted. This isn't the wwf.

Agree 100% they wrestled their tails off today. They represented Cowboy wrestling with both class and flair.
