Going up weak to the hoop can’t be if we want to score in the paintNot sure that is really his game.

Exactly, because we beat the Illini on the road.I was worried about this one…this loss doesn’t have to be overly damaging, but it increases the pressure to avoid a disaster at Rutgers. It also turns the game against Purdue in an absolute must win.
Hard to beat a team this good when Mast is a ghost. Not dogging Mast, because he’s clearly still not back to 100%. But he’s having a rough day.
Yeah but on other nights when his shots were not falling, Mast still contributed other ways. Today he’s just had nothing. He's been struggling for a month
you come back from the flu and see how well you’d play.Man, Mast has stunk.
you come back from the flu and see how well you’d play.
Hoiberg said he dropped a lot of weight. His will is there, his legs just are not.If hes too sick, he shouldn't play.
ever herd of the flu game? Game 5 1997?you come back from the flu and see how well you’d play.
The good news is, Frager looks fine. So the Huskers ought to be back to full strength for Rutgers.
Did NU even make a 2 pointer in that game?
Jokes on you, you just replied to Michael Jordanyou come back from the flu and see how well you’d play.
6 points in first half were not from 3. A lot easier to score the way Illinois did. A lot easier to go cold shooting from 3 rather than keeping it up or needing 3s to winMade several in the last two minutes.
Because we’re more of a perimeter shooting team. We’re not real big to where we can go inside much and draw fouls. Illinois and Michigan are big. Hence the discrepancy.I didn’t realize we are such a fouling team, another game where the free throws for the opponents are way out of balance. That two games now that if the free throws would be somewhat equals we’re still unbeaten.
Plus about 4-5 of those fouls were at the end when NU was trying to foul.Because we’re more of a perimeter shooting team. We’re not real big to where we can go inside much and draw fouls. Illinois and Michigan are big. Hence the discrepancy.

Makes you wonder how much of the games some people actually watch doesn’t it. Illinois was at the basket a lot where there will be a lot of contact made.Because we’re more of a perimeter shooting team. We’re not real big to where we can go inside much and draw fouls. I’m sure you’re basketball team cheats just like your football teamIt was fun while it lasted guys![]()
It’s. Basically up to the discretion of the officials if they’re gonna call a foul or notThe disparity in how they call contact fouls 25 feet from the basket makes a difference. Also, a few pretty weak calls late in the game on traps and double teams in the backcourt.
However, Illinois was extremely strong in the paint on defense. That carried them throughout the game when NU finally got cold from outside.

Can’t disagree49 to 9..... wait until the Purdue game. Nebraska is in a sh*thole of a conference.

Boswell played off the ball last year when KJ was there and is now (hardly playing) in the NBA. So I don't think it will change much except just give them a better defender out there. It will be interesting to see how Underwood handles Boswell's return. He's a pretty good player, but Illini look like a better team with Wagler running the show. That kid is pretty unflappable.
