Man, this is old. Just prove the numbers or stop posting them up as fact. It's hurting us and you're sounding like a democRat. Please, don't tell me you heard it from the "media", either. That would just make my point even more! :ROFLMAO:

I would agree that no coach is going to step in right now and turn it around. The problem is that I am convinced that Pope isn’t the guy to turn around for next season. Nothing in his background says that he is other than he played for the 1996 Cats. Go look up his resume and you will see the same issues pop over and over. The same up and down play. The same poor starts.

i just have to laugh at your get behind him or get out of here stance. All of us here want UK to win and win big. A lot of us know a dud when we see one and Pope is a dud.
But a lot of people felt like he got snubbed last year when he wasn't a COY candidate.

Mark Pope has failed abysmally with a $40 to 50 million dollar investment, once all the coaching salaries, player salaries, transportation costs, and other aspects are factored in.

Those who are defending him need to consider that they are defending a failure that would not be met with patience in any other avenue of life, outside of perhaps woke Hollywood, Congress, and a few other industries.
I admit that I have mixed feelings about whether or not Pope gets a year 3. I know in my last position in which I took over a situation that was a complete mess, I had a "business guy" tell me I was failing because I had not made progress at the rate he wanted it to be. By the time my 2 year contract ended, we had a complete turnaround.

I say that to say that, as Kentucky fans, we want instant success. If Pope does leave at the end of this year, I will always wonder what might have been. If Pope stays another year and things don't improve, I think I would be convinced that he was definitely over his head. I guess I pretty much fall in the category as one who is on the fence.

Why hasn't Mark Pope or Kentucky refuted the salary rumors, particularly in light of the fact that they have had a trash level season? When Pope was asked about it directly in the preseason he did not refute it. Additionally, he gets paid 6 million a year. Add that to the 22 million salary and you're at 28 million already before you get to the assistant coaches, the operative costs, recruiting costs, transportation, etc.

I know the truth is a hard pill to swallow. At some point, though, you will have to take your medicine like we all do. Keep posting your smiley emojis.

I like it.

I find it interesting having speed read the first page of replies that no one is really asking WTF is going on at UK that we've had SO MANY FREAKING DEVASTATING injuries since the Kraft center was a few years old. What is it in the program, the training, or the facilities that our basketball team has had so many injuries since about.... what.... 2016 ir 2017?

We haven't had this many foot/bone issues since the men were practicing on the old floor at Memorial, which is where the women practice and also have a LOT of lost time to significant injuries over the last 10 years.

The last 2 years have been ridiculous, but why isn't anyone asking about the commonalities?

Are there better floors?
Are the floors different elsewhere?
Is it the staff and the workout regimen?
Is it what they are or aren't feeding the team?
Is it lack of quality sleep that is preventing them from healing properly?

This kind of attrition kind of crazy

Lol

Who's got time for that sht besides people posting here? He certainly doesn't have time and shouldn't be going into it. You don't chase rumors and trying to make rage addicts feel better. He needs to focus on getting the team better and recruiting his assets off.

Sure, but relying on a guy who had a serious injury coming back mid season was a gamble. Also we clearly weren’t that good when we were completely healthy otherwise.
