I haven’t ever been to a high school meet, but the middle school ones definitely were. Especially if you have a kid that high jumps (first event) and 4x400 relay (last event)

When the chopper was getting ready to leave east Lincoln I heard a coach ask the recruit if he wanted to fly over to the next stop… Lincolnton. The recruit politely said he would prefer not… he hates that dang wolf howl and those terrible hotdogs.

Some grouchy driver pulled up beside of me in one of these ultra big trucks that looks like you have to have a 7 foot ladder to get up in it. I was in turn lane and he was in a straight lane and I guess he got irritated because I wasn’t going fast enough before we had to stop. He lays down on his horn and it sound like something on an ocean liner BEEEEEEEEEEP… Typically, I just look straight ahead or don’t respond to it, but today I gave him a dose of my horn, which on a Toyota Prius sounded awfully weak compared to his horn. My horn made a noise like a very weak whining eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
I should have an airhorn put on that Prius, but I’m pretty certain that if I did, somebody would have my assets thrown into the nursing home.

StormSurge, The only thing I’ve seen is posts on here. Haven’t been out and around much, but next week after the roads become passable I’ll run up on someone who knows. On page 9 of this thread, one of the posters who I’m thinking could be associated with the team indicated that he was actually here. There is definitely someone here that he could have an interest in.
Side Note: You saw the posts that AMD and some others mentioned about a helicopter going to Lincolnton and to East Lincoln, and I certainly did not take it seriously; but one day this week there was a low flying helicopter that came over this neighborhood.
I looked out but didn’t see it. The neighborhood I’m in is adjacent to the stadium area.
It isn’t unusual for helicopters to go over this part of Lincolnton, but they’re air ambulances. This particular helicopter was much lower, and there are several places around the stadium for it to land…Just thought it was worth mentioning.

Here, the city and state have done well with the roads, but if you drive on secondary streets there are still a lot of slick places. I’d be surprised if there is any school here this week…The low in the morning is predicted to be around 8 degrees.
