The NCAA can stick it up their crack the Iowa women are 18-2 they have earned the right to be on Big10 network, ESPN, FOX, FS1, anything but a service that Hawk fans in rural Iowa don't (SUBSCRIBE) to.

You are correct, it is totally on the Big Ten front office. That big TV contract they signed included NBC/Peacock. It starts at 9:00 in the East so I won't be listening on the radio tonight. Hope the ladies do well. The NCAA? LMAO
Or for someone to put together a package of all the Iowa wbb games, regardless of platform, and sell it to us legally. Peacock, BTN, Fox, etc. would still get paid and eyes for their advertisers; we'd get to watch all the games without resorting to chasing platforms or illegal streams.I would like a system where I can watch whatever I want anywhere for X number of minutes per month. After that I am left with whatever is defined as “basic” package or pay more.
Price of x is negotiable based on how many many minutes I want per month.
until then I will just find illegal streams.
I don't know about that. BTN+ was only ever used as an overflow. There's a financial reason for this as always. The Big10 is making more money by putting these games on Peacock instead of BTN+.If the game wasn’t on Peacock it would just be on BTN+
The alternative isn’t being on TV.
BTN has a women's game at 5pm and 7pm tonight.I don't know about that. BTN+ was only ever used as an overflow. Their's a financial reason for this as always. The Big10 is making more money by putting these games on Peacock instead of BTN.
Right. TV decides the times of games and what gets covered where. The Big10 makes more money by putting games on Peacock than Big10+. Also, if I had to guess, Peacock, as part of whatever deal they cut, probably also gets input on which games they get to cover. Were it not for the deal with Peacock, BTN maybe covers this game at 7pm instead of Wisky/OSU and Wisky/OSU moves to 5pm. I highly doubt they would have put the Iowa USC game on Big10+ given the fact that Iowa is getting bigger numbers than any other team in the Big10.BTN has a women's game at 5pm and 7pm tonight.
Part of it is that every team has to be shown on BTN a certain amount of times, so that is part of the juggling act. Even Rutgers, Penn State and Northwestern have to on BTN a certain amount of times during the season.Right. TV decides the times of games and what gets covered where. I'm old enough to remember when women's basketball was never even on TV, so it's not all bad.I'm old enough to remember the promise of streaming TV. One low monthly price ad free. We were idiots
Exactly. Back when the mens team actually got to the final 4 on occasion you were hard pressed to see any of their games on TV. I still remember listening on the radio with my Dad the undefeated B1G season in 69-70 with downtown Freddie Brown and Johnny Johnson. At least we have options now. Even the games we don't get you can usually watch on youtube the next day.I'm old enough to remember when women's basketball was never even on TV, so it's not all bad.
This exact concept has recently been discussed by various sports entities. Most fans would love it. Put the games wherever you want, but let us go to ONE place to watch them. It shouldn't be that difficult.Or for someone to put together a package of all the Iowa wbb games, regardless of platform, and sell it to us legally. DISCLAIMER: I often don't know what I am talking about. I feel right at home on this forum.

That was my first year of season tix. I was a sophomore at UIowa. I thought it was a pretty good use of my time and money, even though my seat was behind a post in the Fieldhouse.Exactly. Lolol.. I actually went to a game at the fieldhouse before I moved out of Iowa and was also sitting almost behind a pole. Lolol. It was the year Payne and Stokes were freshman, so 1981 I think..That was my first year of season tix. I was a sophomore at UIowa. Those who pay, they receive the benefit. But someone is always gonna pay and someone else will always benefit. (Always bet on the $$)Clearly, peacock is getting the best games...maybe not orchestrated, but that's how it is playing out...like the men's games on Tues..neb vs mich, then pu vs IU on cock while we get MSU vs ru on btn.
The peacock deal seems to skim more games than last year...is this a pathway to the majority of BIG events going pay per view.
Initially it was simple and cool having a league network to make sure all games were available, but with the league expansion,it has been hard to juggle them all.
But, what is infuriating is when BTN is showing nothing live while live games are on cock.
