This is pretty cool..thanks for sharing, what does ADPD stand for? Average Decision Point Differential?
Less Iowa City duals and more National Duals to start the year will definitely do some damage to the point differential but it also makes the season more interesting and entertaining. Big Ten scheduling isn't consistent year to year either so hard to do much without any context to particular seasons.

Ya more than likely. I just enjoy the data and trying to find correlations I can use to predict crap with. Definitely akin to throwing mud at a wall and seeing what sticks at times.

Is that why they were regularly commiting violations against the Geneva suggestions against Coe,Cornell COLLEGE, Baker, Iowa City CC, Southern Illinois Edwardsville etc? When looking through some of those were comical. I'm pretty sure one of the years Iowa beat someone, baker maybe, 59-0 I think it was potentially. Just wild
57-0 over Cornell college Nov 20 2009 I think is the one I was talking about.

Who were Gables teams losing or tying? OkSt? Vastly better tournament team vs duals?
I was surprised to see as many losses as I did as I went through. Iowa State was a back and forth series for Gable, at least initially. Cal Poly beat future nation championship Iowa in 1979 which...I'm sure there is context I'm too young to know regarding cal poly beating Iowa 27-12. Lol
Oklahoma State, Minnesota, Penn State all would get a win or two here or there and Penn State got a tie if not two as well. If I remember from going through it all there were a few years where Iowa would beat Iowa st once then lose the other as well.

One thing that's funny to see is Iowa had duals against LSU and Auburn back in the 70s. Didn't realize they ever had wrestling down there. Shame they don't anymore.
Gable's average margin of victory was 25.89. Brand's average margin of victory is 21.35.
Some damn good wrestlers came out of there. Kevin Jackson was at LSU his last 3 years before having to transfer to ISU for his last season…

Anyone on this board remember the 60-0 dual victory over Simpson in 1986? I can't find a box score but I have to imagine there was a forfeit or two??
He didn't drop wrestling all together, he just isn't performing as well as he has in years past.
