He’s the best center on this team but no one plays with 2 fouls first half
He’s foul prone. I wouldn’t risk him getting his 3rd in the first half. Godswill was better than Payne tonight and held the fort for a few mins.
Correct. We have 2 very solid big guys. The only time Hines should be sitting due to fouls is when he has 5 of them.
Sha absolutely made the right call. Of course it looks obvious now, but it was at the time, too. Big fella was huge in the second half.

And if Hines picks up his third foul in the first half, he can’t be the player he was in the second half. You have the benefit of seeing how the game played out and you’re doubling down. Bold move.
Guess you got your answer. We saved him for the second half when we were down 11 and won 56-27 in the second half.
The difference Hines makes compared to Payne is enormous on offense. Payne will have his spots and match-ups, but Hines’ skill and athleticism for his size is a difference maker.
Look, it's simple. Big man --any big man--gets 2 fouls early, he sits out the rest of the half. 100% of the time. Putting him back out there is coaching malpractice. This is as much of a universal truth as there is. With all due respect, it's silly to argue this as you are doing here. There are plenty of things to question Sha's judgment on. This ain't one of 'em.
