You can say whatever, but I think Coach Calipari is genuinely believing that his highest mission has been to put players in nba and change their lives. Of course, that didn’t squared always up with what BBN expectations of putting Kentucky first.

He loves maintaining relationships and he is actually good at it. He did cultivate relationships with former players, former coaches and he has been respectful about Kentucky.

The way he left , making sure the university doesn’t have to pay him the remaining of his contract, it talks volume about his class.

Of course, I wish that he would have toned down his sarcasm in some of his media interactions and actually won more than one title but I wonder if that is Rupp’s curse that no other coaches to win multiple titles at Kentucky for how he was pushed out into retirement…

I will always have respect for Coach Calipari for what he has done for Kentucky University and the people of the Commonwealth. With that been said it was time for him to go and he understood that.

I hope one day he will be received in Rupp arena with cheers and his jersey will be hanged in the rafters and his Kentucky players to be present . He deserves it!

How is this giving you attention? It’s a post regarding our former coach (now yours) and a former UK player who played for said coach that has zero to do with Arkansas. You posting on a UK message board saying we are ate up with Arkansas is pretty funny. I have never been to an Arkansas board and never plan on it, so who is ate up with who exactly? Hogs by 40 on Saturday.

I hope not. He is an egotistical narcissist that only cares about past players because they make him look good. His coaching did not get them to where they are today. As talented as many of our guys were my wife could have coached them into the league. Cal is a pos fraud and I hope he never comes back to UK.

It’s true many still like to talk about Cal. But UK is not going to keep a coach who can’t win a natty. Even worse, he hasn’t been to a FF in 10 years with nba talent Maybe he gets your hogs to one, but everyone knows he’s not going to win another natty. He’s made the piggies relevant but UK has higher standards. That’s the reason we have 8. 😁

How about winning just ONE ncaa tournament game in his last five years.

Before NIL When great college basketball players got to late March games & knowing that their professional career started the minute the buzzer sounded after a loss - it was easy to start thinking about the name on the back of the jersey & Rolexes .
Different now because they are already rich & living lavishly. Recruiting & team development have changed & KY is no longer the leading edge of success & fame it once was.
Calipari has a team with 8 to 10 future PROS this year & not a single Ky player would start for Arkansas this year & few would ever see playing time.
CAL Out recruited us AGAIN & until Ky gets a coach who can compete in Recruiting at the upper levels the Wildcats will continue to be an also ran.

Cal brought more talent into Kentucky than anywhere else at any time in history.
$6 billion dollars in NBA contracts and literally half of the NBA all stars are former Wildcats.
I will never understand how he didn’t win more at UK.
The nickname CCC says it all…

Not even close to 8-10 future pros on the Arkansas roster unless you're counting any level of professional basketball as " pros".
Acuff and Thomas are the only sure fire locks to be on an NBA roster.

Yes, Why does it matter?? At Kentucky a Championship is the only goal. Neither team is gonna win it all so??? Who cares right?

Pros are players who play professional basketball somewhere for better wages than their degrees will
I did not say NBA - But Ark does have at least 5 that will play in NBA.

The clowns who walk around with their noses in the air claiming all we care about is championships is calling Cal egotistical. The truth is you simply hate the man. You toxic lowlifes hate nearly everything but you have a viceral hatred for Cal. That’s just who you people are. You hate a man over basketball. You’re the POS fraud.

He will come back to UK to celebrate all of his great accomplishments at UK and to have his banner raised in Rupp and there’s nothing worthless trash like you can do about it.
Easy Brad easy, calm down, you're liable to have a stroke.

The NCAA and John Higgins didn’t intend for us to win anymore titles
This, this, this, this! Look, Cal is not a great floor coach. However, he’s not terrible either. Fact of the matter is, we got absolutely screwed in 2011, 2015 and 2017. ROYAL **** jobs! Then, 2014 and 2019 on a lesser scale.

That one “charge” on Poythress in the 2014 title game was an absolute back breaker. Went from an and 1 and a 2 point game to an 8 point UConn lead all on one BS call. Then in 2019, Auburn wasn’t whistled for a foul for like the last 15 minutes of the game. Lmao

Says the guy on a Kentucky forum in a thread about a former Kentucky coach and former Kentucky player. Someone is ate up alright, but he’s too stupid to even realize it.

Pure ignorance. We’ve won 3 titles the last 40 years. 37 of those years were not failures. You’re just out of touch with reality.
We may have enjoyed a good season, but the goal is a title. Any UK fan knows that. Because we have won more than only one other program. We will feel like we came up short. That’s not ignorance. That’s reality. Usually, as I watch a season. I know if a title is possible or not. Only 3-4 of those 37 years was one possible. Neither UK or Arkansas have teams that have even a possibility of a championship. I’ll watch, but I’ve given up. The season is a failure. Losing to Arkansas won’t help or hurt that.
