Ice hockey, I forgot about Ice Hockey. Put that above Men’s Basketball too. They bleed for the Maroon and White and since most of them are Vet students they can sew themselves up.

I don’t think college basketball as a whole is a bad product. You just have to watch something besides the SEC. I haven’t watched an NBA game since it was Iverson vs Shaq in the finals. Not sure how folks watch the NBA, especially regular season games.

For me it's:
Baseball
Football
Basketball

Football is more enjoyable to watch nationally, meaning the ability to watch teams not related to us, but baseball has always hurt me more when we're not good.

For this reason I put baseball first.

I made most of the football games this fall. I was only able to attend one baseball game, my 97+ year old mom and dad needed too much care.

football sucks now, but the number one ranking and growing up with SEC West contention for a few seasons in a row gave me enough hope to care. Conversely, basketball season was awesome when I was in college, but we never did anything in the tournament, so we had any of those “we were so close” runs, which I think makes people care long term. Baseball is fun for me because we’re usually pretty good and the volume of games gives me something to watch regularly. I don’t really care about pro sports so I’m bored most of the year, and baseball gives me four days a week to watch something

I’m still how I was when I was a kid:

1a Football
1b Basketball
1c Baseball

All #1’s when they are going on, of course. All other university sports are way down.
This is my answer. I’m all in to whatever sport is in season.

1. Football. Hate to admit it because we suck so often, but it’s just my favorite sport.
2 Baseball. Been going since the early 80s and now nothing like a cold one and the espn+ app on a spring Friday night.
3 Basketball has fallen to 3. Sad because I grew up going to almost every game with my dad who was a huge basketball guy. Watched Jeff Malone on so many bad teams it’s ridiculous.

Football and basketball are interchangeable with me depending how each are doing. Baseball will always be number one with me because I grew up around it.

Sadly I follow basketball and baseball the same after football. It doesn’t matter how bad we suck. I will always watch.

College basketball is unwatchable compared to the NBA. Also, (hot take alert) college baseball tournament is way more interesting and entertaining than march madness.

Every one of you listing baseball above football is exactly why we are getting boat raced by our rival right now. So Mississippi State it hurts. SMH

They are all about the same. I just follow along throughout the season but do not follow any of the programs outside of their season anymore. No need to follow recruiting anymore and the portal is all just nonsense

I can easily not pay attention to baseball when we struggle even though it's our most successful sport. Just didn't grow up around it. Now that my son plays it - I do follow it more.

I have season tickets in all 3 sports so I guess it would be that I follow all 3 closely. But we have a huge tailgate that makes football enjoyable and haven’t missed but one home game since 1987. i thoroughly love going to baseball games and follow it very very closely. I’m fired up for baseball right now. A spring weekend in Starkville and at the Dude is really enjoyable. Basketball was my favorite sport to play growing up but the game has changed so much for the worse to me. I still enjoy when we are winning but the current product is hard to watch. Admittedly I haven’t used my tickets a lot this year as it’s just hard to want to go to a half empty arena with a team that can’t shoot or defend.

But I pull for all things maroon until I just can’t. I will add that NIL and the current state of college sports has seriously affected my give a damn.

1) Football by a mile. Now that I have kids in Starkville Saturday's are more than the game.
2) Baseball.
3) I don't know why but I have lost so much interest. Part of it is that our seats are in the area that is now "smaller" and I feel like I'm sitting on my nuts the entire game. I haven't been to a game this year and I'm not sure I'll be able to give my 6 away and a parking pass again this year.

Football is number one by a country mile. Even when we suck.

Basketball and baseball are 2A and 2B. All things being equal I’d prefer basketball. But it’s easy to check out when we are as bad as we are this year. I was 100% in the last three years, but I haven’t really even watched us since the Ole Miss loss. Checked scores, saw we were losing, didn’t really bother turning if on.

I like baseball but I cannot sit down and watch a full game until about May. The pace is very leisurely to me. It’s pretty much background noise and then maybe I’ll lock in for the last 2-3 innings if it’s a close game. And my level of interest definitely depends on how good the team is.

I have wishes. I've been in the desert too long...like forever.

1. Men's basketball. Wish we had a program and fans like the craziest of march madness, but alas.
2. Foosball.
3. Baseball. Never liked it. Was at the last few innings when Burke masters won it for us. It was the only game I went to while in school. Didn't bother with another one until I had a wild hair and went to the Arizona game that was just ignorantly hot. Have caught on since then as my sons liked baseball. Weve been to Omaha a few times since, that's fun.

Basketball would probably be ahead of baseball if we had any decent run of success. There is nothing like March Madness if your team is involved. Not having won a tourney game since 2008, has hampered my following of MBB. I follow all MSU major three sports religiously though. I guess this would be my level of care. right now.

I acknowledge that I'm backward. I base on it what I played and how I grew up. Played baseball since I was 6, so that's my favorite sport. Started playing basketball at 11, second favorite sport. Never played organized football as a kid. I enjoy watching it, but it's the game I understand the least (X's and O's) so least favorite of the big 3.

For me:
1. Baseball - My Dad and Uncle always took me to games growing up. My uncle had friends with a rig in the lounge as a kid that was 17ing amazing. My love of baseball and specifically State baseball can be traced directly to those games.
2. Basketball - I'm in my late 30s. Most of my childhood, high school, and college years were in the Richard Williams and Rick Stansbury eras. Basketball was always solid and had the potential for a good year.
3. Football - I love football. I know State needs it to be good. When Jackie and Mullen had State rolling, there are very few places I'd rather be than watching a game at Davis Wade.

Even though I listed them as 1, 2, and 3, it's more 1a, 1b, and 1c. I love them all. I would say end of baseball season is always the one that hits the hardest. Maybe that's because it means no meaningful State games until the fall... I don't know.

If I had to force rank them it would be MBKB, FB, BB, WBKB but if State is playing, I'm attending (or watching on TV) just about every game. Win or lose, good or bad. Actually went to the WBKB KY game fully expecting to complete my 0 for 4 week at the Hump and be darned if we didn't win, you never know. Also try and make it to a couple of SB, VB, SOC, M/W Tennis.
When I'm not watching State, I'm watching some other college game as long as I can find something from Sep to Jul and use pro sports as my filler.

We didn't have a baseball program at St. Aloysius and other than a concrete court had to use the gym at St. Francis Xavier, so neither sport was a priority. Football was king and the only one and we were pretty damn good. I love track and field because I run a little. Of course I'll watch any track meet even if State is not involved. Yep, I'm old

I will add that baseball being so low or of no interest to some of you is a bit eye opening for me. With it being so prominent, I really didn't think that there were any State fans that were indifferent to it. Interesting for sure

Imagine caring deeply about your garage more than your car. That's what baseball fans look like to us.

"We've got an awesome garage!"

"Yeah, but you put a broken down Yugo in it."
