Runza cheeseburgers are nationally slept on (for obvious reasons). I also enjoy Freddie’s burgers. Five Guys burgers are very high on my list but I hate tapping into my children’s college tuition savings just to get a meal for myself.

I feel like it’s hard to mess up a cheeseburger, but for some reason people do.

Oh and shoutout Wendy’s burgers. Probably my favorite of the mainstream fast food places.
Do you know why Wendy’s has square burger patties unlike McDonald’s and Burger King?

Because they don’t cut corners.

I do not live there now nor have I for a long while. But I was in Lincoln a few weeks ago visiting family and I had a fantastic cheeseburger at Culvers. I would give it a 9 out of 10

Runza will forever be #1 in my heart. Best burger i ever had was from Runza. Wife and I were in the hospital after the birth of our kid and we both were tired af from no sleep, and the burgers were huge and greasy. just hit the spot beyond perfect.

But Culver's is legit. Especially if they get the salt levels right. Whole family loves it, so if we do go out, as a family, its usually there.

If you ever get a chance, its a seasonal thing, but get the curd burger. Its a normal burger + a burger sized puck of a cheese curd.

I can’t eat Culver’s burgers. I think they use peanut oil to fry them and they give me a belly ache. I had a 5 Guys burger I think in Sergeant Bluff and that was good but I was kind of looking for a place where I can get a double tall Tito’s and tonic to go with it. The greasier the better😁

A couple years ago I had a very, very good burger at HF Crave. Local beef if I remember correctly. Honest Abe's is also really good. I kinda like to stay away from "theme" burgers with a bunch of other crap on them, gotta watch that at Honest Abe's. In the Haymarket Leadbelly is good and I just had a solid burger at Hopcat a couple weeks ago before the Oregon game.

I feel like lately that Runza's burgers taste like bread and salt.

The last burger I got from Culver’s was dripping in grease, now don’t get me wrong I like a greasy cheeseburger but this was way over the top.they do have really good ice cream

No kidding here. Go see a movie at Marcus Majestic on 144 and Maple. Order a burger. They are fantastic. I was blown away.

Few not mentioned here:

Cheeseburgers Omaha - A take out joint - they used to have one down the road from my place out west but that's since closed and they only have one by the med center
Smittys garage
Omaha Tap house
Hyde's Burgers and Fries

Dinkers sucks.. Outside of nostalgia for older folk I don't get the love for dinkers
All that you mentioned are good, but I'll give an extra shout out to Hyde's. Great burgers.

I don't believe Dinkers sucks. Solid, but I don't get the hype.

It's all expensive now. Double cheeseburger meal at Runza is $15
Beef has gotten high. It’s about time but I know too many old Baby Boomers who have sold their cows and retired. Not many of the young pups want to do the work of calving season. Cow herd has shrunk dramatically coupled with the screw worm quarantine on our southern border. Mexico needs to get their crap together.
