Freshman year at Rutgers in 2019. He has had a redshirt, a covid year, and at least 2 medical redshirts. This is just ridiculous.

We hope we never see the covid years again but maybe one medical redshirt is enough for anyone. That would be 6 years to play 4, that is enough especially now that players are getting paid.

I’m just trying to picture a bunch of NCAA dopes sitting around a table wearing suits and coming to the conclusion that this guy should be given an eighth year to play college sports. JFC.

College football is a joke anymore. NFL is such a better product. my interest in cfb will continue to diminish.

College football is better now for TV watching fans because the best players keep transferring to form almost NBA style Super Teams.

college football is getting worse for fans that go to games because if they get a good player he will leave.

FCS programs I don’t even know what they should do. Everybody gets poached.

same with basketball, I don’t we every see a small school make a final four run again or even an elite 8. The players will leave.

Having someone that is 26 or 27 playing against 19 and 20 year olds is a joke. I guess Toure doesn't want to play against the big boys in the NFL. It is total BS and the NCAA is a joke.
This bothers me more than the money part. They’re not going to school-not that most SEC players ever did, outside of Vanderbilt, but it’s so blatant now. Are we going to see a 10 yr vet at one of these schools someday? A 30 yr old playing for Alabama?

He probably knows he wouldn’t make an active roster so the $ is better at Miami

At some point a coach is just going to invite all his players back after they exhaust their eligibility to force the NCAA to do something...then the NCAA will cave and eliminate how many years you get and we will start having 35 year old players:cool:

When you were a freshman in high school, didn't your coach have you scrimmage the varsity? I think it was just their sick jollies.

And with the roster limits now, that's one more 18-year-old kid who could be getting a scholarship to a P4 team that can't now because they're allowing some guy to hang on to a spot he should have had taken away 2 years ago....

Well, in the Miami dude's defense...he probably has like seven kids and needs the money. Cuz when he leaves school without a degree his job at Ace Hardware ain't going to pay much.

He's probably not good enough to play in the NFL.

Dr. Toure with 2 under grads. He's the most educated football player ever, or not. This is stoopid.

Chambliss and his superstar attorney, tom mars
found an Ole Miss grad judge in miss. to issue an injunction making him eligible to play a 6th season
Mark G. should play another season for Iowa...there are no rules anyway.
Find a Hawkeye judge that would rule,as the Mississippi judge did; that another year of college ball is more lucrative than NFL and would better prepare him for the NFL
Those both apply to Mark also.
Screw it......it means more at Iowa too!

8th- and 9th-year players is comical. There was a comedian who once joked, "Just turned 35. Doing stuff I couldn't do when I was 18. Like...date high school girls".

We are literally there...

And how does this look to a recruits parents? "Your son will have a chance to compete for a starting job...in six years..."
