Not really if you seen some of their games at home minus the Badger loss.
Yeah, that is true.

I was just thinking to the last game I saw, I think they beat OSU by 15?

I know at the start of the year they were killing teams though.

I’m guessing they will slide up to #5 with the Houston loss & Purdue losing 2 in a row. This Nebraska team has been amazing this year, but the trip to Michigan is going to be extremely tough. My gut tells me we lose this game, but this team has risen to the occasion this season. I hope they do it again. GBR!!!

Makes sense. The Huskers are gonna get the best from Michigan. Michigan's A game is really, really good. I said in early December that the Huskers can play with anyone if they are shooting it well from three and that has proven true. The Huskers are tough to guard when you put Frager on the court with Mast and Sandfort. Without Frager, Michigan will be able to key on Sandfort.

Mast or JL are going to have to have a big game. Mast is 6 for his last 30 from 3. Need him to make 3s to pull Mara away from the hoop.
It is crazy seeing the shot charts of so many teams. All the shorts are either 3 pointers or shots in the paint.

The Illinois/Purdue game shot chart, I think, only had 2 shots that were outside of the paint but not a 3.

One of the few games on NU’s schedule where there is very little to lose and a TON to gain. The home games against Purdue and Illinois will be the money-makers for NU.

Really all of the pressure is on Michigan.

This is pretty true.

Big Ten could end up with what...

NU
PU
Michigan
MSU
Illinois

All getting seeded between 1-4 for the Big Dance.

I tend to agree with you because Illinois and Purdue are both home games.

Guess who just snagged 4 free NU vs Illinois tix :). It helps only acting like human sandpaper online and then in the real world being pleasant and nice! Ha

I love that it is a Sunday 3pm game!

When and where do I meet up with you for one of those free tickets? (I am also pleasant and nice)

Ha! As of right now there are only 2 that are being used! I am sending out the texts to see which other friends (that only hang out with me for free tickets) might want to go!

I hear it is a "WHITE OUT" but I will be there in my Illini Orange!

if they start slow like they have been it could get out of hand quick and hard to come back from. Fun to watch this year. The Sanford dude has the quickest release I have see in a while. You cannot close out on him fast enough. It is 1-2 seconds and gone.

Frager’s athleticism would have been a big plus for us against Michigan. Even IF he plays, I don’t think he’ll be 100%.

Sandpaper? More like used toilet paper.
Yeah but that joke doesn't work.

Human sandpaper = a person that irritates others

Human used toilet paper = that is a person that helps someone because they are wiping that ***.

I think you are on the right track BUT you just missed by a little bit. I like the effort though! It is not bad at all.

I am positive if Nebraska loses it will be the refs fault and the announcers will be talking only about Michigan.

I think it's a good time to re-evaluate the 3-point shot in general. Either move it WAY back or eliminate it. Basketball would be a lot more fun if teams had to get back under the basket and duke it out.

Those fast break 3's almost seem like he's a kid just chucking up a quick 3 trying to not get it blocked. It obviously isn't, but that's what it seems like. Crazy.

Fred should try to dig up rosters of some of his old youth camps. See if he can go to that well again. 2 starters off our 20-0 team at a camp in Iowa a decade ago....

Crazy that it took NBA players and coaches nearly 25 years to realize basic math...the nba even put in a girls range 3 in 94 and 95 to encourage more shooting. Obviously the illegal defense rules also created a lot of iso situations which means a lot of long, inefficient shots, when four feet back would be another point. 18 feet for 2 points, 22 feet for 3 points. And of course the extra spacing leads to a lot more room at the basket. A lot of people miss the old days but if you go back and watch a random Bucks, Kings game from 1988 you would be aghast at the low quality basketball.

Sounds like you either want rugby or football. Go watch those sports. Basketball has no room for huge guys who can't dribble or shoot and just hurt other people because they lack skill at the game. The NBA has instituted a bunch of stupid rules that have nothing to do with elite shooting and they need to begin to call travels and double dribbles again and continue to improve limiting flopping. You can't change the 3 point shot because people are TOO good and then complain about the sport. But they can limit offense in other ways.

I saw 11.5 as a spread. Regardless, I think it seems about right Ohio State played them tough the other day and still lost by double digits. And you know Michigan will be ready to play. They're long and athletic and that worries me a bit. Our guys play great defense. Hope it's a factor Tuesday. And Mast has to come to play. He's been off the last few games.

Right?
Everyone basically has to shoot the 3 now.

Last 3 home games:

Lost to WI by 3
Beat IU by 14
Beat OSU by 12

they haven’t looked great on the road as of late as well. Let’s see if NU is locked in for 40 minutes

Saw the same thing with Iowa St and Vanderbilt after they lost their first game. The team has a psych dump after the loss and are not as sharp. Michigan will definitely be up for this game but they are not the same guys blowing out teams by 40.
