I’d probably say Nick with what he accomplished running. Don Smith and John Bond were before my time
Wayne Madkin because he's the only State QB to play for an SEC Championship.
We'll accept write in candidates. I also left off the legend KJ Costello. Most passing yards in a single game in SEC history
Nicky Fitz and Relf are two all-time favorites for me. Never lost to the anti-Americans

It seems you have a 1980 cutoff, but there's a guy you left off the options who was a 1st team all American and two time SEC POY and is in the College Football HOF.

Dak would be #1, I’m #2, but if Coach hadn’t died, and had still been with us the next year, I would have been #1 after it was all said and done.

Even though he didn’t play very long for us Dave Marler went on to a great Canadian career.

Ok. Individual talent + wins... my point was Don Smith may be the 2nd best athlete to play QB at STATE, but Nick and John had more wins.
